Two clear signs that The Last of Us draws ever-closer: Developer Naughty Dog has confirmed that the game has gone gold, and the Australian Classification Board has granted the title the notorious R18+ adults-only rating.
"The Last of Us was a highlight of last year's E3, but it's had a troubled run since." Are we looking at the same game?
Pretty sure they're talking about the release date being moved.
I could swear it was a family title.
Joel has a talking backpack, and Ellie speaks Spanish. Also, there's hoodlums that try to steal from them.
Well since we got the R18 over here, they've been looking for a reason to use it. Really Mortal Kombat is the only one that makes sense. GoW Ascension was R18, but it was WAY less violent than GoW3 (which was MA15 Uncensored).
It's not that they're looking for reasons to use the R rating. It's that games that should have been R18+ were previously getting pushed into the MA rating. One of the arguements FOR an R rating was to make ratings for content more consistant and to better inform. Now that we have the R rating, games are getting rated more accurately and are more in line with how they're rated overseas. God of War 3 and Ascension are both rated 18+ overseas in europe and the US. I'm certain The Last of Us will be the same Mature and 18+ rating overseas. Either way. The rating doesn't affect me and I will be purchasing this day one. Haven't really been following it so I'll definitely be blown away lol.
One month to go :)
I like the fact they fought to keep the game is meant to be instead of settling for something waterdown. The game may have that uncharted pov, but judging by the menu screens and the elements involved, i say this game is going to be no joke. strategy, survival, stealth,a deep menu system, smart ai, its going to be interesting.
And whats with germany? Please uncut .. /: Dont wanna import
