Into the depths: the unanswered questions of Dark Souls 2 | OXM UK

OXM UK: "Sometimes, knowledge is power. Other times, not knowing can be more powerful still. Magnificent though it is, the original Dark Souls contains flaws that might have doomed a project that isn't as seductively, compellingly swaddled in enigma. I'm looking at you, silly weakpoint-based Bed of Chaos, and you, horrible Blighttown frame-rate, and you, godforsaken backstab-dependent PvP. The thrill of learning more about From Software's eldritch, gutted world, deciphering the myths that infuse the very geology, is seldom unequal to the frustration these rough spots inspire - and with that in mind, the highest praise I can give what I've seen of the sequel is that I currently have more questions than answers." (Dark Souls 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

That's testament to how awesome Dark souls is. Those glitches were a bit annoying but in no way spoiled the game at all. Its prob my favourite game ever.
Look at the rubbish bosses of Deus X HR, still got top marks.

well in all fairness, DEHR was a damn fine game despite its bosses. im not sure they took much away from the game but they certainly didnt add to it.

either way DS is the best game this gen, ever imo, 2 cant come soon enough.

DS was the first game in years that wasnt predictable and followed all the normal game conventions. it also had a ton of secrets and mysteries to find, variety in play styles and enemies. from software is the best. that and verdict day this year, couldnt be a greater time for them

No sure I'll be betting this new. The fighting fun for a while, but I didn't fell emerged in to the game and stopped playing after a while. It played more like and action adventure than an RPG. Hopefully they can focus more on dialog and make the world more engaging. I would not get tired of the fighting as easily if it felt like I had a compelling reason to.

I actually love the monster hunter style the game has, tons and tons of monsters to slay. There is a lot of story but you need to really dig for it, the game has great lore and Dark Souls 2 will definitely expand on it.
