Samsung bringing Paid Games Marketplace to the US

To accompany the launch of the Galaxy S4, a paid games store is being made available to US users via the Samsung Apps marketplace.

From May 15, developers will be able to introduce paid games and apps to American Samsung smartphone and tablet users, with the new US marketplace going live on the same day.

This is a huge step forward for indie developers around the globe. The US market for games and apps is huge, and the epic popularity of Samsung's devices opens it up to game and software creators from all regions. (Android, Dev, Indie, Mobile, Samsung)

Should be today -- watching closely, ready for the changes to drop. Nothing yet, but it'll probably happen in US time, later today.

I had no idea that this wasn't available in the US. I'm a Canadian developer (with 4 games up on the Samsung App store currently through 100% Indie, thank you very much!) and we have access to the Samsung App store. I just assumed the US did as well.

Hopefully this will give us a nice little boost! :)

The whole of America has been waiting for this! Well, the ones who own Galaxy S3s and S4s, but that's pretty much everyone :-)
