I'll play it the normal way since i'm not paying 5 bucks or doing the pre order thing

Plagasx1233d ago

But.but..that's not the way it's meant to be played...

You don't even need to pre-order. It's in the "Limited Edition". Which is just like 99% of EA games. First run copies are all Limited Edition. That retailer story was all BS. At least about Ranger Mode anyway.

Its Certainly has got alot more coverage online since this had been announced about the ranger mode.

I know I will get disagrees for this, but can we STOP jumping the god **** gun?

Preorder exclusive versions are marketing talk for "first run" copies. Look it virtually any example of this practice and you'll see that they're typically just launch editions. Like I've seen WAY more Bulletstorm special editions than normal editions and it's not impossible to find plenty of these other "special" editions.

Some examples that people might recall...

- Darksiders 2 (I was able to get a BB preorder edition 1 month after release) and several locations still have the edition with the free DLC.
- FF XIII-2 (I can still find copies with the book at BB)
- Dead Space 2 (The CE for that was so unpopular that it hit $20 dollars and I can still commonly find the Limited Edition for the PS3)
- Dead Space 3 (I've still yet to see a standard copy of that)
- Catherine Love is Over Edition (Was common enough to get a lowered rate on Amazon despite being made to preorders)
- FF Theatrhythm stylus was just a pack in, which was easily found well after release.
- Crysis 2 limited editions can still be easily found in stores.
- People are still reporting finding Persona 4 Arena with the OST, my location Walmart still has Catherine art books, etc.

In the end, there are enough examples of "preorder" or "limited editions" being easily obtainable after release, so I will only worry about it when it actually becomes an issue. This was most likely intended as a way to push people to preorder (so they can report high numbers) and will probably be fairly common for at least a month. Since I don't see Metro selling to well either, I fully believe it won't be too rare. Also to support my claims, my friend has a review copy and it came as the limited edition. While it's not definitive proof of anything, I think it supports the edition being the only version at release.

Gonna laugh my ass off at the dorks who will buy this game at launch and later complain about the state of the industry.

This I will admit is messed up but I'm not preordering it anyway. I'm done preordering games. I want to see how the game is first then I will spend my money on it.
