Huge PS3 Unreal Tournament 3 Patch Hitting March 27th

Epic's Jeff Morris has revealed the list of changes to be included in the first Unreal Tournament III Playstation 3patch, due for release on March 27th. "The US version has more fixes included in this patch. This is because later release date of the European version allowed us to include them on the disc."

I was really hoping for a split-screen patch. We all know the 360 version is going to have it, and its been 3 months already, so why is it not here? The game would've sold much better with it.

"Hi createdbymeca. There are loads of stuff on this list are addressed in new ps3 patch, like voice, core errors, ping sorting, etc. Others are listed that aren't going to happen, like splitscreen, are super vague, like fix the bugs, or don't belong on a fix list, like new gametypes.

This list would be much more useful if it only listed bugs and ones that are still open.

about fukn time already. I hope the mics are really fixed and the push to talk button is retarded they shoudve changed that or allow you to change it to like L3 or something. Also was really hoping for split screen I want to recommend this game to my cousin but he doesnt have online and I know we luve this game with all the bots and split screens. We use to play 007 nightfire all day on ps2 with 4 ppl and bots its so fun competing like that. Bots should be a must have in shooters for offline RESISTENCE I MEAN U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yo already can change what you want the buttons to do I have my voice button on L2 so I can move and still talk .When you go to the controller config I think you hit the triangle to change the buttons .I'm not sure want button just look at the bottom of the screen and it will tell you want button to hit to config

i only play it when i feel like playing a classic fast paced shooter back when i played games on pc there is a decent ammount of people but sometimes it seems a little empty

if you like pc fast fps like quake then you will like this game

a huge WARNING though the single player is completely useless also do not play in rooms that also support key/mouse if you have a controller only you will get ridiculously owned

if you do buy it though this site is very useful ut3mod.com
they have the ps3 version on every single mod

IMHO one of the best attributes to UT3 is you can play with people in the single player mode, its pretty cool!!!

I mean having to team up with fellow UT3 players against the CPU is really fun!!

I got mines a month after launch, and i was kinda mad that there was hardly anyone online, i mean CTF one of the most played online modes in a online shooter game, only had 2 servers up, I kinda blame it on EPIC for not marketing it as much as like they did Gears, if they would have put more advertisement into it, there would be alot more copies sold and alot more people online. I still have the game but it just sits there.

The game was given the thumbs down from my clan so I might set up a new username and add a load of people who are dedicated UT3 players.

That being said, I should be getting the PC version soon as I have a new system on the way

I live in the UK and bought the game on import last year.

I did the same as you. I'd imagine it will automatically download the US patch seeing as it's the US version of the game. I don't know for sure but that seems most logical to me.

From reading a few comments above me I guess you can still say that the majority of ps3 owners don't buy games. 2 servers for CTF??? That is ridiculous. The 360 version will definitely have casual and competitive gamers playing this game 24/7.

Negatory. For all online multiplayer gametypes, there are about 50 servers open at any one time, and, sometimes, just as much for the Campaign Co-op.

It's not as active as Warhawk, but there's always someone playing. Not that you'd know how active Warhawk is. >_>

I have a US version running on a EU UK PS3. Will this patch benefit me or will i still need to buy a EU version to run on my EU console to play online without those annoying "cannot download core pack" messages!! As anyone got a firm answer or theory?

I have the EU version, and I never came across that bug. You may find that, in the future, if Epic charge for content, (admittedly unlikely), you won't be able to get it, since it'll be in dollars.

As for the patch, you'll be downloading the American patch, since, as far as the game is concerned, that's your nationality.
