‘Battlefield 4’ won’t be a direct sequel to ‘Battlefield 3’

With “Battlefield 4” currently set to release this fall, gamers may be wondering how the upcoming installment of the popular shooter franchise might link to past games in the series. The official “Battlefield” Twitter account answered that very question on May 10 when it was revealed that, while “Battlefield 4” will be set in the same universe, it won’t be a direct sequel to “Battlefield 3.” (Battlefield 4, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

No one cares about BF3's campaign story anyway.

They should just release MP standalones for like 39.99. These crappy military campaigns are a waste of everyone's time and money. Get to the chase.

Just release "Battlefield", and release a 2.0 update the next year, 3.0 the next, etc.

It'll be a half sequel aka BF3.5

If the Battlefield series goes down thew same path as the COD series, i'm bailing.
I don't want a half assed job like a few tweeks here and a new gun here.
Otherwise just keep on adding map packs for B3 instead.
Battlefied / Dice are a great franchise.... please don't spoil your reputation and cut corners. Your ahead of the game right now (IMO) so lets keep up the great work................
In getting me hooked on the next Battlefield game.
