Let the series die already

Well, aren't you an extra large asshole. :)

The series is continuing because of its success; if you aren't a fan then kindly leave and don't let the proverbial Pokédoor hit you on the way out...

Success? Have you realized that every game after G/S/C has sold drastically less and less copies?
LAWSON72  +   341d ago
Why? Millions of people enjoy pokemon.

The series that needs to die is (insert game you love I don't care for)

... And you are basing your knowledge from...? You are definitely mistaken, the sales of Red/Blue and Green were the highest, that is all. There is no evidence showing that the every game after Gold/Silver/Crystal got worse Kindly direct yourself to this website: http://vgsales.wikia.com/wi...

However, for clarity, I will disprove you in plain text:

23.64 million (Red/Blue/Green)
08.86 million (Yellow)
23.00 million (Gold/Silver)
03.75 million (Crystal)
13.00 million (Ruby/Sapphire)
06.32 million (Emerald)
11.82 million (FireRed/LeafGreen)
17.57 million (Diamond/Pearl)
07.43 million (Platinum)
11.90 million (HeartGold/SoulSilver)
11.51 million (Black/White)
06.31 million (Black2/White2)

And to clarify even further, I will do it generationally:

Generation 1: 32.50 million units
Generation 2: 26.75 million units
Generation 3: 19.32 million units
Generation 4: 24.45 million units
Generation 5: 20.61 million units

I see no correlation. I don't see any "dramatic" lowering of sales; it seems to have fluctuated. What I do see is that this clearly shows that, whilst Pokémon was indeed more popular during the years of Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal, the sales have largely stayed around a similar mark (even going back up to 17.6 million with Diamond and Pearl). It is also obvious that the third instalments of each generation sold a lot less, but that's mainly because a lot of people see no reason to buy the same game twice with a few extra features.

Your argument is invalid and bears no weighting. The argument that the sales are lower than what it was during the series' fruition means that the series should die is ridiculous. Try again. I implore you to just wait for the sales figures of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, and again, if you dislike the series, don't comment on its news. I don't comment on Call of Duty news, because I neither enjoy it, nor know anything about it. I feel you should follow suit...

Is that character customization?
lizard81288  +   341d ago
For what was gathered, it looks like you can change small things about your character, like hair, glasses, ect.

I looked at that picture again, and those might be different save slots. Although that's never been done before. I guess will have to wait and see.
