KKEnt’s First Impression of FUSE Demo on PlayStation 3

Kuma Wrote: There were a lot of new games released lately, but one of them is a demo called FUSE from Insomniac Games. This title has been talked about for a few years and now you can try out this demo with full four player co-op. I took on the role of Jacob Kimble who has a unique crossbow that sets enemies on fire, but I was too busy dealing damage to the opposition. However I will let the video speak for itself, please enjoy. (Fuse, PS3, Xbox 360)

looks ok... a bit generic to games ive already seen in the past though

True, but with some slight difference which I mean in the weaponry that you shall be using in the game. It is pretty sweet.

Complete borefest on single player.
Online was okay though you actually have to work as a team.
The best way to play is with people you know I would say.
The presentation is excellent and the overall shooting and cover system is very polished. Just hope the whole game isn't one shooting gallery after the next. Will still keep an eye on it since it's made by Insomniac.

Honestly I found the single player mode to be fine, but this is a game that is heavy on co-op which I will try later with my friends. I believe the story and dialogue from the characters will carry this game, because you can see it as your typical shooting, cover system game.

I hope you're right but my demo impressions weren't too great to be honest. Just tired of shooting things all the time. If it does have an interesting story though I will still be giving the full game a try.

The graphics are horrid, ps2 seriously this is not a joke just the truth.
Gameplay was poor IMO, I'll be passing on this.

what i think:

- the levels look very good but seem to lack originality
- some weapons are pretty cool with some originality
- gameplay mechanics feel dated
- poor enemy AI
- characters, story introduction and dialog seem completly bland and generic
- worth a while to play online co-op
- boring to play it on solo
- boring menu designs EA style

Everyone has a sound argument, but what I would like to know without an immature answer is. How would you or what would you want different in this title? I see this as a Gears of War four-player type for the Ps3 in a sense. Now before you get all mad about that statement, many of you have stated that the co-op is worth it.
