5 Reasons Why Final Fantasy VII Is The Best Post 9/11 Commentary We Have

WC - Final Fantasy VII while considered monumental at the time of its release right up until the present day is often otherwise overlooked as just another Final Fantasy. It isn’t usually examined or discussed even by its creators as social commentary. However, when looking deeper one finds a disquieting, accurate picture of a world brought to the brink of ruin by maladies all too familiar, and frequently inching ever closer to home. I certainly think then that a sequel could expand on a lot of these themes.

Well, there's been two sequels and neither of them expanded on those themes. And if that hinted-at sequel to Dirge of Cerberus ever happens, it'll probably be much of the same. :(
