Saints Row 4 PAX East Demo Released to the Public

GR said, "Deep Silver and Volition want to bring you as close to the development process of the upcoming Saints Row 4 as possible. Instead of simply supplying new screens or trailers, the developer has released an in-game walkthrough straight from the pre-alpha version of the game based on the demo shown during March’s PAX East event in Boston." (PC, PS3, Saints Row 4, Xbox 360)

Coming from someone who got bored of SR3 very fast.
That actually looks really fun.

meh, looks like a clone of Destroy all Humans, if anyone remember that game.

Looks really cool. Hopefully the combat isn't too shallow, and the game isn't too easy.

Loving the superpowers.

Ok, looks like they grabbed some Prototype, Destroy All Humans! and made this game. Seems like it'll be a blast but cant really tell any graphical improvements and UI hasnt changed at all. Understandable considering this was to be DLC for SR3.

They should've kept SR4 for next gen and make this an expansion thing like what the DI devs did with Riptide.

Some fun ideas like the dubstep gun and I like the idea that this crazy character is the President but the map still appears to be mostly dull grey lifeless suburbs which made Saints row 3 a depressing experience for me. There is a street or two with interesting things on it but the rest of the environment is so grim, lifeless and unimaginative. If you're gonna go this far with your characters and gameplay at least add a little neo-Tokyo vibe to the environment or something.

I enjoyed SR3 a lot but from the video it doesn't look like they improved anything graphically and the map looks exactly the same as SR3's, the weapons all seem to work familiar too. I hope they're gonna expand the map somewhat and add more weapons into the game.

looks like the best expansion there could have been...
now its gonna be one of the most hated games

I saw the demo at PAX East and I was stoked about it. Glad everyone else can finally see it. I think the little details are awesome. I love the dubstep gun. Yeah, maybe it's only cool the first time you use it, but it's just a cool little feature that stood out.

The mech suit looked really good as well. I hope they add a lot more over the top vehicles.

I like the weapons and the super powers, this game is now on my radar.

It's not bad I'll give them that. But my main problem is that it looks EXACTLY like SR3. This really should have just stayed as DLC. I would have liked it if they spend a few more years making it from scratch.

The fact that they're calling this (expansion) Saints Row "4" pretty much already destroyed any chance of success in critics' reviews.

Crackdown is alive and well....in Saint's Row 4.

I don't mind that it looks like SR3, SR3 looked great i like the animation.

I do however miss the feel and atmosphere of Saints row 2. the city felt more alive and i cared about my crew more then I did for SR3. SR3 was just a batshit crazy game to goof around in.

Don't get me wrong i like SR3 i even platinum it, but i just wish It would have been called by a different name so we could still have are gangster SR1-SR2 feel back. With the look of SR4 that will not happen and that is a shame.

This game better have at least 20 person multiplayer instead of 2 like in SR3

The game looks like it'll be fun, it will provide a nice break from more serious games. I liked the old destroy all humans games and honestly if you've played those games then you'd undestand that it has simularities to Saints Row 4, I think Saints Row 4 has pinched some ideas.
