Nintendo's Decision for E3 2013, and Why It's Beneficial for Them | GameDynamo

GameDynamo - "The news of Nintendo not having a major press conference this year at E3 is fairly surprising, as it places them as the only one of the big three not doing a large-scale presentation. Instead, they will be holding smaller presentations within their setup on the show floor. " (3DS, Nintendo, Nintendo DS, Wii, Wii U)

E3 conferences are televised, booths and small presentations are not.

We're talking about the difference between millions and thousands of viewers. It's in no way beneficial to miss out on exponentially higher attention.

its not beneficial in any way.. Millions of gamers world wide will be watching that event & not going will only make less people interested in what they have to offer.. Sure fans wil tune in to ND but they should try & get ppl that arent their fans to pay more attention to their products.. Oh well, we will see how it all pans out

It would be embarrassing for them to show a bunch of Mario games when their competitors will display what true next-gen technology can create.
