Four brand-new screenshots for Sony’s upcoming driving title, Drive Club, have been released.
In these shots, drive club looks truly next-gen !
Care to explain how it doesn't?
Look Next Gen.
@CGO-Quality They really don't. Drive Club - http://analogaddiction.file... Forza 4 - http://s.pro-gmedia.com/vid... GT5 - http://th04.deviantart.net/... Put all three of those in front of someone who's never played them. They wouldn't be like yeah, that one there looks next-gen. Racing games like these always have over the top screenshots. Some end up looking like that in-game, others don't.
Come on dude, you can tell Drive Club has better geometry and detail. Especially if you're a car enthusiast.
agreed. still not impressed. my non car gamer friends are very impressed tho
@xPhearR3dx That's nice but that's not in-game graphics, that's some photo mode BS. This is what Froza looks like in-game and it doesn't even come close to Drive Club...so ha! http://www.neogaf.com/forum...
What you're seeing in Drive Club is actual in-game graphics/textures. Here's a few more actual in-game screenshots of Froza. http://www.neogaf.com/forum...
Sorry I disagreed by accident. Looking forward to this game ALOT!
This game looks great don't get me wrong but it looks to good to be true. If Sony wanted to release screenshots ahead of E3, they would want the screenshots to look polished up and make them look good. I don't wanna say "bullshots" but for a early work in progress game, they are strikingly really neat to look at.
dat 8GB GDDR5 0_0
clearly that's needed to render graphics... console gamers...
http://analogaddiction.file... Well you do need extra ram in order to render better textures. Look at Need for Speed on Wii U for example. The game has better textures than the PS3 and 360 versions due to the fact that the Wii U has more ram than those consoles. But ram isnt the only thing that affects graphics though. @coolmast3r For PC you mean because the Wii U version of project cars will look vastly inferior to drive club.
All I can say is Drive Club looks bad for a 8GB GDDR5...Project Cars looks better!
Oh, I see. So you know that it's using all 8GB, right?
poor coolmast3r need to bash drive club of wich we have seen almost nothing so far http://www.soshichan.org/wa...
That vaporware? What.
Bullshots render pics of racing games always looks good, of course during actual gameplay, everything gets downgraded for obvious reasons. Looking forward of seeing this one in action at E3.
yeah, it looks like bullshots. Aliasing is non-existent and the depth of field is a bit too pronounced for its own good.
You didn't see the game play trailer?
You do know, that this is the same company that made Motorstorm right?... You should definitely play the first one, I think it was the first off road racing game this gen. That actually pushed for photorealism, and after playing it ivcan say the did a darn well great job in doubt so, for it being a launch title..
teaser images. Don't really show much.
I love you Evo. You're my favorite racing dev of all time.
totally been looking forward to this game. i was hyped when i first saw it on the PS4 announcement live stream.
Well this isn't my kind of game but I want to see it in action.
Even knowing that I will have disagrees because of fanboys, I have to admit that the screenshots don't look like a nextgen game. Put GT5 screenshots side by side with these pics and they will look the same. Just for you to know, I love my PS3 and probably will love PS4. But I have to be honest.
I hope it has good music. An area that has sucked in all types of games for years (forza 4 had nice music though) and none of the rock/hiphop dogs dinners they think we like.
I Still think Project Cars looks better and that's a crowd funded game...
okay you're entitled to your opinion. Though not sure what it's development funding has to do with anything?
Meaning it doesn't have the deep pocket multi million dollar backing of Sony! Not that hard really to understand really, granted the screens that we have seen of Project Cars are all PC. The game still looks amazing in its current state.
Doesn't look that much better than GT5.
So is Drive Club an open-world racer or what?
http://i.imgur.com/8ya4eQC.... http://media.pcgamer.com/fi... http://thegamingpixelshow.c... project cars on pc is already far beyond drive club, way better textures
How do those pictures show "far beyond" they look the same as the drive club shots...
We still don't know enough about this title, where it sits between arcade and simulation? I will probably wait for PS4 Gran Turismo, or just get GT6 on PS3 if it magically out performs the mighty GT5 (pleaaaaaaaase!!). I believe that it will be a stellar launch/launch window game but I only drive 'cars' in GT. I tried Dirt but was dissapointed, PS2 rally games just had a special missing ingredient compared to this gen. Motorstorm, not a simulation, nor a rally game. It was incredible, which is why I believe Drive Club will amaze. I have just rediscovered Motorstorm thanks to my kids, it still impresses. I still remember that feeling of playing Motorstorm on PS3 launch night. It was the greatest looking console game at that time, and great fun. I hope Evolution Studios can tempt me away from PS3 GT.
