Precursor Games were founded in July 2012, and are comprised of a number of veterans from Silicon Knights, the developer behind Eternal Darkness, and yes, Too Human.
Phew! "Caporicci writes: 'We have been in constant communication with Nintendo, and they have been very supportive of our endeavour to bring this game to their platform.'" This is the main thing I was worried about. Great to see that it Nintendo knows about this and is supportive- so, no future intention to sue.
I still don't see much reason to be excited for this game yet. I mean, while it is definitely great to see Eternal Darkness sequel revealed as a spiritual successor, the new development team won't likely hit their donation goal of $1.5 million, and it doesn't appear that Nintendo will be helping them out with funding, so what then ? Plus, the team needs to hire more staff too, something they are also relying on donations to help them out with.
I'll cover that donation. Let me go get my check book.
