The limit of game reviews

Metro - I’ve been reading with interest many of the diverse comments regarding the reviews of BioShock Infinite and Dead Island: Riptide and have a few thoughts on it all. Whether one agrees or not with a review seems to be often based on a player’s own personal enjoyment rather than the game’s quality, and as such is dependent upon many variables: your favourite genre, what games you have played recently, what mood you’re in, how much time you have to play, whether you play competitively, for narrative, relaxation, etc. – the list is endless. (Culture, Dead Island Riptide)
