DICE: Battlefield 3 and Battlelog outages result of activity “aimed at overwhelming” game servers

Battlefield 3's servers down? Seems some people aiming to overwhelm them for some reason. (Battlefield, Battlefield 3, Dice, EA, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

They need to work on servers the most. Especially for launch. The first 2 days i kept getting kicked out of games.

I hate it when people kick you out of the game because you are playing to good and beating everyone this shouldn't be aloud

That's why I play on official servers.

I was in a server a week or so ago, here were the server rules
"No semi auto snipers, UMP, shotguns. No running, knifing, medkits, rezing, jumping, no AEK,M16,M416,M5K. No ammo boxes...or Spec Ops Black Recons. Also, no Colonels under level 100. No attachements on guns either."

EA Needs for BF4 To be better is get rid punk buster invest your money get a better anti cheat system.
Aim voters are in nearly every game i go on. Hackers are a big problem when used like this or in game.

Most anticipated game like this should have plenty of servers working.

Wait... they're still having sever issues? Dont tell me they cant maintain servers even after all that money they got from Premium Subs. I am amongdt them havnt played in a while though. I kind of suck lol.
dazzrazz  +   935d ago
Wait... did you read with understanding ? You can't maintain DDoS attacks
Donnieboi  +   935d ago
Damn, DDoS and lag-switcher attacks are the reason why kojima shut down MGO's servers. I hate when people hack stuff and ruin our games. Hackers a bunch of no-lifers with too much time on their hands.

Never say that "you suck" at the you said that "you don't play the game that often" Those that are a level 100 have there good and bad days in BF3 and this happens to CoD players as well!!!

Just hook up with some good squad mates that use there mics and you will be surprised at how well you will do.

To anwser your main question, The server issue is nothing new to those of us that have been around the BF series since the xbox BF:modern combat days! What has really made it worse has been the "user owned and controlled" boughten servers. When this happened ,the EA/Dice servers dried up.

Agent_Hitman, You would think they would have learned there lesson by now and let us hope that BF4 will have this worked out before release! After all, isn't that what a closed beta and open demo are for???

Famoussasjohn, Alas this is becoming a sad state of "private run servers"With all that crap they have as so-called "RULES" NO level 100 would EVER join that server! Look around when you search for a server to play on,there are some good ones out you just have to find them!
If you play alot of BF3 ,you may want to consider joining a clan of like minded players
