Before the E3 show floor opens, Reggie Fils-Aime and Shigeru Miyamoto will host a presentation to the media prior to E3.
Did you read this article? True or False? Nintendo will be at E3. True or False? Nintendo said, "The reason we aren't doing an E3 Presentation is because we have given-up all hope of making money in consoles. We just look at Sony and Microsoft and think, 'All these long 25 Years of making games and consoles we have had no clue on what we were doing.' We are afraid." True or False? Reggie Fils-Aime was quoted as saying, " I use to struggle with the existence of a god- that is until I saw the specs of the PS4 and I realized that the supernatural was real- that God is real and His home is a PS4!" Anyway- It all sounds like it could work. True or False? Only time will tell...
They will be there. They will have games playable. There will be media and game journalists there too in a private event. So in the end we will get all the information we would have gotten anyways. I've never been to a E3 so the only difference is I don't have to watch 90 minutes watching them embarrass themselves, talk about game sales, and have actors on stage pretending to have fun (this goes for all the events, not just Nintendo).
Scroll over my Avatar for my answers to my "True or False" questions. Yep. Nintendo has said, "Playing=Believing" All they are trying to do is get people/ Press playing the games before they comment on them. And most of the Press would otherwise immediately compare the visuals of the WiiU games vs. 720 and PS4." This is Nintendo's 1st time working with HD and Iwata has admitted that teams with in Nintendo were taking longer to learn HD Development than expected. No matter what their first HD games look like, Nintendo has always done GAMEPLAY right. We will see if it works- I am optimistic and convinced that whatever happens it can't be worse than delivering another Press-panned Press Conference after Sony and Microsoft. @Dj7 Probably, sad, when all they had to do was read the article...
This comment will be ignored look at them dislikes
This is exciting roll on E3!
The month before E3 = 300 Years. I was actually hoping that the article was going to say that Nintendo was going to do a Presentation sooner than E3 (like tomorrow).
Smart decision by Nintendo. Some people were confused and thought that Nintendo dropped out of E3 entirely. Others knew that Nintendo would still be there, but in a smaller way. But this announcement gives light to the fact that they are still gonna be there in a relatively profound way. I've burned this company (mainly Iwata) in the past, but I'm holding my tongue because everyone knows E3 has been a real game-changer when it's come to console wars. 2013 is Nintendo's big chance to show some teeth, because MS and Sony are not siting idly by.
I hope they stream it or something lol. I want everyone to at least witness the big surprises at the same time, it's like the super bowl.
Blow me away Nintendo Blow me away :)
Christmas six months early.
Nintendo needs to make up their mind, do they want a presentation or not? Anyhow, I doubt this small pre-E3 presentation is going to be streamed here's hoping it is. ;)
They never said they don't want it. They only said that they won't do their usual presentation. Like last time Iwata already announced tons before E3 trough Nintendo Direct. Nintendo Direct ARE streamed. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) oh btw "Previously, Nintendo had announced that it would not be holding its regular, worldwide-focused pre-E3 press conference, " Comprehensive reading. It's hard, isn't it? Without pictures and all.
Oh but I thought Nintendo wasnt gonna be there?! At least according to the READERS of most gaming sites... When did Nintendo ever say they wrerent going to be at E3? Now all of a sudden they announce this pre-event. Can the haters just STFU now please?!
All of the sites that claimed "Nintendo won't be at E3" should be banned from submitting future articles on n4g.
All I want to see from Nintendo at E3 is ZeldaU and whatever Retro Studio is working on
Finally a smart move by Nintendo, Go big N. Also they should televise the games being played.
These types of articles will get widely ignored in favor of those that continue to claim Nintendo won't be at E3 at all and Nintendo is scared of Sony & Microsoft. In the next coming days and weeks Nintendo will continue to update the gaming media on their plans for E3 and some sites will continue to make it seem like Nintendo is skipping no matter what.
all the gaming development studios have expressed how stressful e3 is, and basically how they wish they didnt have to attend because of the massive strain and disruption it causes to the development of their games... seems nintendo are leading the way in trying to slowly pull out of e3 altogether. it is a bit stupid if you think about it...the games industry has changed. the world has changed. back when e3 was started, people got their gaming news through magazines. so naturally, journalists would travel there, take pics, notes etc, then return and report it all in the next issue of their gaming mag. fast forward to the internet age, and all the gaming news is available 24/7. we dont have to wait until e3 to hear about the next mario or gta. we dont have to wait for a monthly magazine to come out- we have access to gaming news 24/7. so it sort of makes e3 redundant. not even the major news broadcasters cover e3 with any detail, its usually just mentioned in passing. so the whole event is losing its relevance. nintendo are very smart, because they have basically created their own platform for making these announcements to gamers and the media - nintendo direct. with their platform, they have 100percent absolute control of everything, so why would they want to go to e3. studios should follow nintendo and simply create their own platforms for releasing news about their games. once again nintendo are proving they are the industry leaders and innovators :)
