Nintendo Possibly Eyeing Mobile Game Ports for Wii U

Nintendo continues to struggle in finding a strong foothold, due in no small part to slowing sales of the Wii U. And while the company has recently admitted to doing a less than stellar job of educating the public about its new system, Nintendo may be looking to find other avenues to attract potential customers. According to The Japan Times (via Polygon), Nintendo has already started seeking out mobile developers to bring apps to the Wii U. (Nintendo, Wii U)

this seems like the same news reported earlier, just with IGN spin to it

Edit: If its different enough to be approved, my mistake, still just getting the hang of everything.

OT I think its great for Nintendo to do this as more options is usually better :)

OK where in the realm of the real world is this going to spike sales of Wii U?? Picture it, there's a new app or game out for your phone (that you already own) but NA I think ill fork out 300 bucks so I can use the app on Wii U.
