Battlefield 4 beta access details clarified

News has already been been handed down that gamers with a “Battlefield 3” premium membership will be getting access to the “Battlefield 4” beta. This has left fans now inquiring about how to get their beta code. The developer today reassured players that “Battlefield 3” premium members will indeed be sent a beta code for “Battlefield 4” once the beta has actually begun. They went on to state the following, "You won't be receiving a code or beta access until the beta has been released! Don't worry, you won't be left out!"

Because if people tried out a cod game before launch they won't buy it. Bad company 2 had a beta when mw2 came out and it was a ps3 exclusive. And as sucessful as mw2 was more people on ps3 played bad company 2 beta than mw2. Having a beta is risky. Cod games have major patches weeks after a game comes out because of their flaws and failure to test them properly.

Bad Company 2 beta wasn't PS3 exclusive. The Xbox and PC got Arica Harbor and was released on January 28, 2010, and the PS3 got Port Valdez and was released on February 4, 2010.

Now heres the question. If a person has premium and then bought MoH Warfighter for Battlefield 4 Beta access does that mean that mean that one gets two different iterations of beta or are they screwed and received no real value to their pre-order of MoH because they would have received beta invite anyways since they are premium members? Just some food for thought

Like everyone else, I want to know the deal for Medal Of Honor: Warfighter owners. They promised early access and it BETTER be different from whatever happens for Premium members. 48 hours, 72 hours, whatever.

Actually, the box clearly says it is an "exclusive beta." The case also says for full details I can go to www.medalofhonor.com/bf4-beta, which redirects you to an EA page for the game. So yes, they put language out there that specifically implies there will be something different about the beta Medal Of Honor: Warfighter owners have access to.

The first Medal Of Honor also gave people access the the Battlefield 3 beta and the language on the box was way more shady and talked about the offer expiring in 12 months. The end result was people that had Medal Of Honor had a 48 hour head start on the beta, which people complained about then.

The precedent has been set. They put specific language on the box in very specific words and as to very specifically draw attention to try and get people to buy the game. That language is even more specific than the first game, which gave people a 48 hour head start. That is the expectation, and it is 100% reasonable. Yes, they deserve something, because they were promised something. Why do you think they said people with Premium would get early access AFTER Medal Of Honor: Warfighter was released?

I would have bought the game either way, but I don't see how it is unreasonable to expect what was promised. And yes, it very specifically promised something "exclusive," and with the last game, that was 48 hour early access. Everyone will have access to the beta. So what's the point of saying you'll get a simple invite?

So yes, MOH:W owners deserve something. Anything less is blatant false advertising.

meh nearly every fps is bland and boring nowadays....Farcry 3 was the best fps by far this generation imo....
