The creators of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem are launching a crowdfunding campaign for a spiritual successor, Shadow of the Eternals.
Dennis Dyack is involved, might aswell just flush your money down the toilet right now. "They are seeking to raise 1.5 million dollars" I bet after that it will turn into 3 million. These are the same people who took 10 years to create Too Human.
But they are also the same people who made Sanity's Requiem so you should be happy they're working on a spiritual successor.
You're just mad this game isn't coming to your system.
12 episodes huh? guess i will have to wait till its all release and hope for a retail release or a special bundle of some sort
Very flawed but I secretly like too human.
It would be a great thing if Nintendo just funded the project like they did with the 1st game. This way they could use the ED name and also the Sanity Meter (owned an patented by Nintendo). Too Bad Nintendo has so much it's got to get correct 1st. >>>Not a diss we all know they have E3 Press Event, Games to finish, advertising to right, and now a possible new HACKER/ Piracy problem to deal with.<<< -Just a thought, I always thought that it would be cool if Sanity Effects were linked to a Vitality Meter.
I buy this
Great news. If this can happen, then so can Shenmue 3.
They need to make it for platforms like 360 and PS3 for greater reach
I see port begging for this didn't take long.
Making it for consoles is too expensive as MS/Sony demand upfront fees just to put it on their platforms as well as any patches after release. PC/Mac/linux is the best way to go for any kickstarter to make a profit especially if they can get it on steam, gog, gamersgate etc. If kickstarter or crowdfunding takes off in a big way, as it's just in it's infancy atm, the publishers are going to get worried they won't be needed soon. I, for one, can't wait till that day happens. The PC platforms are just getting stronger not weaker like a lot of media and some publishers seem to think.
I'm not saying it has to be on these platforms just because I have them. I'm saying they can reach more of the gaming market and get more $ by doing so. Wii U market isn't big, so they are relying on PC market only when they could reach much more. Other kickstarter projects that are much smaller try to reach these console, so why not this one. Yes I agree fees need to drop to put games on 360 and PS3.
I hope they make it for XBOX INFINITY! Looks awesome...
I don't know if I trust these guys. I heard they only have like 6 people in the company right now. They fired a lot of people and their working environment is not that great. Even worse than Rockstar San Diego when Red Dead Redemption was in the works.
