Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Review | GameFront

GameFront: "Blood Dragon’s distinctive concept provides some lively visuals and some funny jokes. But in its rush to cash in on the popularity of Far Cry 3 and the popularity of ’80s nostalgia in gaming in a general (and after Hotline: Miami in particular), Ubisoft released a game that lacks the cohesion between tone, art direction, and gameplay required to make it truly memorable. It’s a good gimmick — perhaps at that price point, a great one — but it’s still a gimmick." (Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 68/100

$15 for one of the better games I've played. I completed 100% of blood dragon somewhere in 8-9 hours with most of traveling done on foot when not fast traveling.

the ending mission was crazy fun despite some weird cutscenes at the end

the game is just long enough not to get too stale

i dont think the person that wrote this review really understands what they were going for. probabl born sometime after the 80s certainly.

game is great and i finished it already when i still havent finished far cry 3. in fact far cry 3 at points has bored me to death and back, but blood dragon kept me going all the way thru

Exactly! you either have to be 35-50 years old or have a love of 80's action films to really appreciate what they were trying to convey. to be honest, my heart jumped a little when Little Richard's "long, tall sally
" started playing when you were firing the chain gun in the helicopter.

yea that brought back some good memories. would be nice if they had like an easter egg boss that is cloaked (in an obviously bad but cool looking way lol) and u have to track him by his glowing green blood trail.
