Boss Dungeon's Tobbii Karlsson reviews FarCry 3 Blood Dragon which he calls out as "...a mixed bag..." that "...is just disappointing and sad".
This person used mixed bag? What is this 2003?
^My comment was intentionally useless, much like this review which is poorly written and jumbled.
"the gameplay is solid and the gunplay is as tight as it can be save for a few minor tweaks I would have done to some of the guns." and yet it gets a 3.5/10...
Story quality? WTF? Like this website? No Simple.
Did the same.
In the second paragraph he says "the gameplay is solid", then in the last paragraph he says "watered-down generic gameplay". WTF? Either this reviewer is bi-polar or he didn't play the game and is basing his story on other peoples reviews. Either way, he lends that website no credibility.
Yeah, its "solid watered-down generic gameplay" anyone can understand that, right?
A shit website obviously looking for hits, I won't even click the article.
This reviewer went Full Retard.... So many things I could point out, all I'm doing is down rating the website. The website gave Sim City a 10/10................ Did they play Sim City?!?!?! Off Topic...Don't read this article, it'll make you cry and gives them hits they don't deserve.
The reviewer gave SimCity a 10/10... ...the website later criticized many major elements of it. I'd know. I WROTE THE ARTICLE ON THE WEBSITE CRITICIZING SIMCITY. It's like the review was just his opinion or something. Crazy, right?
Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion (which some people don't seem to understand around here). But if a website gives a game a score of 10/10 then that surely means the game is next to flawless, if not actually flawless. Later on criticising the game when the rest of the internet is up-in-arms about it doesn't exactly help a lot if you've misled your readers in the first place and said to them "this is a great game, you should go buy it".
Of note, I'm not the one who reviewed this game, it was a good friend of mine, so you can accuse me of bias right now, but here goes. He went into this review with high hopes, and immediately told me about how much he was loving the writing in the game's cutscenes, as he got further into the game, he realised the gunplay was pretty rote and several ideas were poorly implemented, but as more and more game-breaking bugs popped up, they began to sour his experience, that's a very brief explanation of why he was so saddened by the game, but hey, the rest is in the review (That we're obviously trolling for hits with, good job guys, nothing slips past you). He did not criticise the presentation, that was one aspect he gave a ton of praise to, so there's that. No reviewer likes giving games low scores, it utterly breaks our hearts. he's not trolling for site traffic, he's expressing an honest opinion on whether or not this is a game he would recommend to others, and unfortunately, in this case, he absolutely wouldn't. It's a damn shame, but the biggest problem comes up when people rally against him despite the fact that he's clearly already been disappointed once today.
It utterly breaks my heart to say, but your friend is a crappy reviewer...that is my honest opinion and I would absolutely not recommend that site to others. WTF and a NO.
Seeing as your here backing "your friend" up how about you ask him how solid game play can also be watered down generic game play, also game breaking bugs? Game breaking? Haha, come on man you know this is a crap review, bet he loved far cry?.... Which is the same game without the 1982 skin over lol Utter crap, maybe he should stop playing games with his feet, maybe that's the fine tuning he needs
What do you mean, how can "solid" gameplay also be "watered-down generic gameplay"? Maybe the game is watered-down and generic, but provides a consistent (solid) experience nontheless? "Generic" and "watered-down" are not mutual exclusives regarding solidity. Especially since the "solid" bit seems to be referring to the gunplay, and the "generic" and "watered-down" bits to the overall mission structure.
My faith in the gamer community has been lowered after seeing these butthurt comments. You know there's something called "opinions"? Nah, of course you haven't. Instead games should always get top scores if they've been hyped up, because that's the norm and anything else is obviously wrong.
