"my vita needs it" -sherimae2413

-Bubbles for you for making me laugh... LoL

-Back on topic though, I love videos like this, I love hearing developers saying they are trying to use all of the systems capabilities... -should make for an awesome experience on PS4.

-it's not the same as making it from the ground up for PS4, but at least they are making a tweaked up version for the system that you can enjoy day-one.

I will see you @ PS4's Launch Mr. Watchdogs.. -Day-One- Buy 4 Me-

are those screens from PS3 or PS4 version? i'm confused! They always showed one version
Crazyglues  +   348d ago
@ abzdine

Yes this is a very good Question, and I understand the confusion.... They have actually only ever shown two versions.. the PC and the PS4 version...

Above is the PS4 version they are showing you...
-here is the full demo - PS4 version - http://bit.ly/ZsI4f1
-And here is the full demo PC version - http://bit.ly/135xBdJ
-The PC and PS4 versions will look almost exactly the same..

-What you have not seen is the PS3 and 360 version..

I read that as "Day 4 buy for me" and thought to myself, "Well, that's awfully specific and quite arbitrary."

I have a feeling it will be 60fps pc and 30fps ps4. Could be wrong though.
raytraceme  +   348d ago
yea i have the feeling of the ps4 version being 30fps but still it's a third person game and it's single player so it's not as important as 60fps is for online fps multiplayer.

"Making use of all the system's capability" sounds good to me.

Hope more developers make use of each systems strength so their games can shine even more on said system.

That SHARE button is going to take things to the next level.

Some of the things said in the trailer make me a little concerned that this game is going to be always-connected. There's already rumors (I think they're still rumors) that AC4 will be online-only, but if Watch Dogs is too, then I'm a little worried about next-gen...
Root  +   348d ago
I was just going to say that

Near the end they talk about multiplayer and single player being one of the same and how you won't need to drop into a lobby etc and how players will be surprized when coming across other players

So will that mean I HAVE to allow other people into my game because if thats true I might not buy it. I don't want people in my game after I've came back from a hard days work or long day at college. I just want to play a game peacefully.

Although if it has an option to set the game to private then this won't be a problem

I think Journey did this concept almost perfectly. Random strangers would come and go. But, for my first playthrough, I logged out of PSN so that I could play through the game alone. I wish they gave you an option in Journey to set your game to solo without having to log out of PSN though.

I totally share your concern, no offline story would be dealbreaking for me. However I get the impression that game will be something in the lines of Demons Souls. In the video they clearly speak about single-player, to transition from single player to multiplayer w/o lobbies. To me that is a strong indication that, indeed, WD is gonna have a solo campaign. Hope it is a good one and no shitty disconected stuff to force you to go online for the complete experience.
despair  +   348d ago
It might be demon souls style where online you are always there in the MP world but offline it still works perfectly fine just without a few things. I highly doubt it will be online only for a Single player game.

Diablo 3 got away with it because its an established franchise with a rabid following but for a new IP it will get harsh critiques.

Very simple. Connect it all you want, all that matters is that 10 years from now, I can put Watchdogs into my old PS4 that is disconnected from the net, and play my old game that I paid $60 for.
despair  +   348d ago
agreed, that's all I ask for. MMOs are online only and we expect that when we buy them but SP games should be playable offline if I want to.

yes but framerate looks laggy
MasterCornholio  +   348d ago
Oh boy if the PS4 version is laggy than the Wii U version will be unplayable and you can forget about the PS3 and 360 versions of the game.

But anyways lets be realistic here. The game is coming out at the end of this year which means Ubisoft has a lot of time to fix this game. Now since the PS4 has a very similar architecture to a PC it should be easy for Ubisoft to do this. In conclusion, what you are seeing is probably from an early build of the game and you can rest assured that the final version will be much better.

"Sony have really got it right this time...I have yet to read any rumours of delays, software concerns and programming issues regarding PS4."

Funny how thats happening to the Wii U but its Nintendos fault for making the console difficult to develop for. They should have gone with a unified ram set up and an X86 hardware design.

I don't care if Watchdogs is totally online if that is how it is designed to be. This game is no indication of next gen 'always online' concerns.

Most people I know have never played Single Player COD/BF or KZ, and only play the Multi Player all the time. Most discard a game for the improved sequel any ways, so the concern for Watchdogs is totally unfounded.

Whatdogs is the only Cross Gen multiplatform game I'm cued into buying at launch for PS4, I cannot wait to play it.

Damn it E313 Is gonna be outrageous!
Sarobi  +   348d ago
I'm really pumped for this game, I wonder what type of multiplayer modes there will be.
Valentinus  +   348d ago
PS4 is the perfect system, I haven't seen any developers talk bad stuffs about it. The anticipation to hold the DS4 in my hands and play Watch Dogs on my PS4 is killing me!

E3 is gonna be freakin legendary, doesn't matter what new IPs Sony will show. I'm already sold on PS4 day one!
ReubenPatrick  +   348d ago
This gen was all about the big things you could put in the game but next gen would be all about little things like the slightest details, the animations, immersion and ambiance which would really make a game shine :D
