Zone Of The Enders HD Collection PS3 To Receive A New Title Update

by Francesco De Meo

The Zone Of The Enders HD Collection has been released a few months ago on Ps3 and Xbox 360: the collection included the two Zone Of The Enders games released on Ps2 during the previous console generation with upgraded graphics and a couple other tweaks.

Kojima has announced that the team is now working on a new title update for the collection which should fix these problems for the Ps3 version of the HD collection. Unfortunately Xbox 360 owners will be disappointed in knowing that no patch will be released for the Xbox 360 version.

awesome. the PS3 version had inconsistances. it made ZoE 2 on PS2 look superior just because of the frame rate, so hopefully that will get addressed.

the Xbox version is fine, that's why it will have no patch but the PS3 version has very inconsistent frame-rate.

Dark_Overlord4009d ago (Edited 4009d ago )

I wouldn't say its fine, it still runs about 17FPS (with the min frame rate being far lower) lower than the original PS2 version (with the PS3 version being even lower), I'm hoping this patch at least brings it up to par with the original version :)

PS2 ~~> Avg:56.269fps Min-Max:41.0-60.0fps Tear:26.318%(26.318%)

360 ~~> Avg:39.983fps Min-Max:23.0-60.0fps Tear: 0.000%( 0.000%)

PS3 ~~> Avg:32.218fps Min-Max:20.0-60.0fps Tear: 0.000%( 0.000%)

You can follow the links in the descriptions for more videos highlighting the FPS :)

from your own video you can tell that the Xbox version has much more better frame-rate than the PS3 version so I don't know what you're arguing about. If anything this patch will be to make the PS3 version be on par with the Xbox's and not to magically make the game run at 60 frames like the original.

lodossrage4009d ago (Edited 4009d ago )

He never said the 360 version didn't have a better framerate. He just said NEITHER version was up to par.

YOU however, are the one saying there was nothing wrong with the 360 version. Yet the videos he posted show NEITHER HD versions are up to the original's standard.

So yes, the 360 version COULD have used a patch as well. So in case you missed the point, he's arguing your false fact about the 360 version having nothing wrong with it

Author wrote "asses fan demand"

I'm sorry for the lol.

"Speaking about the series as a whole Kojima has also confirmed that the new Zone Of The Enders project has now been put on hold: the team that was working on it has been disbanded. Kojima has stated that he wants to re-evaluate the series as a whole and asses fan demand before moving on with the project."

YOU GOTTA' BE FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!!

The sales for the HD remakes weren't what he expected I'm assuming.

I think the Vita port has been canned too :-(

Zone of the Enders: HD Collection - Still the Best Way to Enjoy the Classic Series

More than a decade since release, Zone of the Enders: HD Collection remains your best opportunity to enjoy the games on modern consoles.

I loved 2nd Runner back in the day on the PS2.I tiried playing it again years later on the PS4 and I just couldn't get into it. I don't know what happened. The game just felt janky to me.

VersusDMC317d ago

I have the ps4 edition of 2nd runner(Mars) and it runs great. But i guess if you want to play the original you need the collection.

The war and taking down the fleet sections are highlights that i still remember to this day. Maybe Armoured Core VI will have some dope sections like that.

A series that needs a new entry

gamerz317d ago

Runs surprisingly well on the Steam Deck. Doesn't feel too old or constricted on the small screen.

Absolutely loved these games. Bought the first ZoE because of the MGS2 demo, and ended up loving the game that came with the demo! Haha but ZoE 2 has a special place in my heart. The mix of 3D and anime style cell shading at the time on Ps2 was NEXT LEVEL. I beat it in one sitting on a Sunday afternoon and will always remember that game. Hard as sh** but improved on the first in every way and had some very cool easter eggs.

Mulaka looks interesting. Never played a ZoE game and SS2 is prob my favorite of the SS games.

Chaos Bane and Zone Of The Enders for me. Personally, not a bad month.

Christopher971d ago

Chaosbane is a great get, IMHO. Definitely one of those "not a must-buy but definitely want to try" games. It's got the usual Warhammer game baseline of rerunning missions and whatnot, but a different style of diablo-esque than normal that was enjoyable.

franwex972d ago

I have owned Zone of the Enders collection. I encourage you to try it. It’s corny in a good way and not very long games.

Germaximus972d ago

Chaosbane is pretty cool if you're into games like Diablo

JayRyu972d ago (Edited 972d ago )

I own ZOE physical nice to have the digital to downloaded to launch when I want to play it. The same with Samurai Showdown.

Looking forward to trying out ChaosBane

Good month for GWG
