GamersBliss.com writes: "Welcome to the best of 2013… errr so far! We are officially in the 5th month of the year and with so many great games we bundled a top 3 list of the best of 2013. We have some great titles for you PS3 gamers out there. Hopefully this will keep you occupied until the PS4 and other releases like Beyond: Two Souls and the Last of Us come out!!" (God of War: Ascension, Guacamelee, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, PS3, PS4, The Last Of Us)

Nice article. But I wouldn't have put Ascension on the top. Maybe Dust 514?

it's very silly not to have Sly: Thives in Time in that list it's an amazing funny addictive game, even better than the previous ones for me.

Where is Metal Gear Rising at?

Ni No Kuni is a awesome game, easily one of the best of 2013 so far, atleast for RPG fans.

So far, PS3 has had some of the best games this year, I cant wait for The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls.

Why are games like Sly Cooper languishing in sales mediocrity? People rejoiced when it was annouced and vowed to purchase day 1 but it has sold very poorly. Same thing happened with Starhawk last year.
Are we gamers just all talk?
S2Killinit  +   1018d ago
it maybe because there is so much to choose from to be honest with you. sales are not a measure of game success, well from the consumer's perspective. Hopefully next time around more people will realize that the Playstation simply has more 'games' to offer and it will get the market share to match that capacity leading to better sales for the superior gaming that is offered on the platform (that is not to say that there are no good games on other systems)
GameCents  +   1018d ago
That argument doesn't hold water because other PS exclusives in the last couple of months have also had lackluster sales, especially when compared to multiplatform games on the ps3.
So instead of buying Sly Cooper, what other playstation only game exactly are they buying? Not PASBR.

@gamecents

Like what? Exclusive mlb13: the show has sold more on ps3 than the multiplat mlb:2k13 has on every console -combined-

God of war ascension has already passed a million which is more than bioshock infinite, crysis3, dead space3 on ps3. Ni no kuni has sold more on ps3 than those high profile multiplats as well. That's 3 recent exclusives selling better per capita than multiplats.

Sly cooper has never been a system seller. Sly3 did 800,000 over 8 years on ps2. Ps3 Sly Collection did 500,000. The new one sitting at just under 200,000 shortly after launch is hardly cause for concern. High profile metal gear rising has sold just over 200,000 on xbox 360, which Sly is on pace to pass.

@GameCents
I'm not sure about the numbers you're mentioning but it is possible that your comparing a revamped game to a new game in sales is not an accurate measure of the sales success of a franchise. I mean what is the norm for these revamped endeavors? For example, I did not purchase Sly Cooper because I was simply not in the mood to play a PS2 game on my PS3 even though I knew that it was a quality game that I never had the chance to enjoy. So I believe that the people offering this game already know what kind of sales they get and they still believed that it was worth it to offer it. Your comment about "mediocre sales" is subjective.

"That argument doesn't hold water because other PS exclusives in the last couple of months have also had lackluster sales, especially when compared to multiplatform games on the ps3."

Like what? Tomb Raider and Bioshock?

Tomb Raider has sold about a million on PS3 and so has God Of War Ascension.

Bioshock Infinite has sold 630k on PS3 and Ni No Kuni has sold about 740k on PS3.

LMFAO! I don't get what you're on about saying PS3 exclusives games sales are lackluster in comparison to multiplat games on PS3. I'd say they're selling alright... ESPECIALLY in comparison to multiplat games on PS3.

Where the hell were you when Gears Of War Judgement sold a million too? Or when Forza Horizon sold a million? Or when Fable: The Journey sold like crap at 170,000?

Only 360 exclusive game that sold well recently is Halo 4. But WHAT THE HELL DID YOU EXPECT??? IT'S FREAKIN HALO!. That would be like not expecting Gran Turismo to sell well. LMFAO! Absolutely absurd...

Where the hell were you when ZombiU sold like crap? (Touted as one of the Wii U's AAA Killer App?)
http://www.vgchartz.com/gam...

Or when Monster Hunter (Supposedly a HUUUUUGE system mover for Nintendo consoles) sold like crap?
http://www.vgchartz.com/gam...

Or when Super Mario Bros. U (A DAMN FREAKING MARIO GAME) didn't sell ANYWHERE NEAR what people thought it was going to sell?

lol

Bioshock Infinite is my game of the year so far! However that may change after The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls come out.
