Soul Sacrifice Review: Escapism encapsulated | Joystiq

Joystiq: "I think Soul Sacrifice is worth the asking price, but playing it may exact an unexpected toll on your thoughts. To enjoy it is to engage with its unvarnished contract, and to recognize your adventure as a sequence of repetitive harvests that culminate in some kind of relief and freedom. That I was so driven to maximize my abilities and overthrow my captor is the game's credit and curse." (PS Vita, Soul Sacrifice) 3.5/5

Before people come running to crap on Joystiq, 3.5 is a good score and Ludwig gave a fair review.

It's this reviewers opinion, what would be the point if everyone was in agreement.
Th4Freak  +   795d ago
What are you talking about? Read the review before make yourself look dumb, Ludwig gave the game 4.5/5 not 3.5/5, Lavalamp probably mistyped.

The Freak is right lol, its actually 4.5 on their site -_-
knifefight  +   795d ago
No. Look at it. There are 3 full stars and 1 star that is half full. That's 3.5.

Of the 5 stars, one of them is completely empty and 1 is half empty. That's 1.5 missing stars. 5 - 1.5 = 3.5.

This is not hard. Scroll down to the bottom of the review. Good lords, guys.
HarryMasonHerpderp  +   795d ago
lol Yes it is in fact 3.5
trenso1  +   795d ago
are you blind? there are only 3 filled stars and one half one so thats 3.5 not 4.5.

I personally think it deserves an 80...but to get a 90-95+...it didn't really reach it's hype...the game is supposed to be for niche audience. It will only be appreciated by some..mostly monster hunter style:P

I really like it...but i'm still finishing off Persona (god damn the last boss... I'm level 65 and it's still ahrd!:P).
belac09  +   795d ago
im stuck at the final boss on persona as well im level 69 and i can come pretty close, but ill have to level up more.

It's ridiculous how senesity ppl are to realism....anyone thinking that this would be the Vita Saver is delusional....Killzone unfortunately will be the Saving grace for Vita....or maybe a GOOD call of duty...it's unfortunate that the majority gaming market is a fps market:(

I personally would like to see a lot more indie games come over:)

Need help I downloaded my preorder bonus from gamestop but it only showed the japanese voice pack..i cant see the other bonus dlc add on..should i play through first before i can get those??
HarryMasonHerpderp  +   795d ago
I have to wait for my codes until the 3rd in the EU.
If you already have the japanese dlc though I'm guessing you are in the US? you should get them all together, if in doubt email gamestop and ask them.
HarryMasonHerpderp  +   795d ago
Actually forget that I've just downloaded mine and it was called the Japanese voice over pack but it also included the costumes and spells.
To get access to them go to network> peddler then claims.
hulk_bash1987  +   795d ago
Make sure you activate your online pass so you can have network access. And once you get that, under network is a tab marked "Peddler", your costume and power dlc's should be there. It took me a while to figure out myself. Hope this helps.
