GTA V Only Has One Main Character

CheatCC says: "Back in December, the folks over at Game Informer blew the lid off of Grand Theft Auto V. Until then we had no idea that the game would have three primary protagonists, so this was revolutionary news. But now that the game's mechanics are starting to sink in, Rockstar has been focusing on the characters themselves, and, I must admit, Franklin and Trevor don't feel like primary characters. Sure, they'll share the gameplay, and I'm sure their backstories will be sufficiently flushed out, but the world of GTA V actually belongs to Michael." (Grand Theft Auto V, Industry)

I don't think Rockstar would have gone to all the trouble of creating not 1 but 3 trailers for each character. Besides, with main theme of the game being money, this game looks like it'll focus on 3 different sides of money: Rich, Poor and Gangster??

Ya but don’t you remember the first trailer they showed had Michael talking in the background. You could also see his face a bit at the beginning. I’m not saying the back story won’t be unveiled with the other 2 characters, but I’m pretty sure the main focus will be on Michael.

A bit like how the story turns around Niko in The Lost and Damned and The ballad of Gay Tony GTAIV. Of course this time all the characters are friends so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

True, but this time their missions involve each other as part of the main, overall story not just coincidental run-in's.

Although a genuinely think each character will have their own, satisfying ending, with one of them most likely getting killed off if Rockstar's recent track record is anything to go by (oops, spoiler).

Michael is definitely the character I will relate to and experience the world through like I did with Niko but I am extremely glad of the other two characters.

I enjoyed playing as Niko because he was a sympathetic character that I could relate to and experience his story as if I was really him. Sadly this meant I'd have to avoid doing things that just didn't fit the character like running over pedestrians or carjacking little old ladies when not even in a rush. This meant I was purposefully missing out on a lot of the fun aspects of the game just to keep myself immersed in the character.

I like the fact that I'll be able to have the experience of playing three characters in GTA5, all of whom I'll be able to relate to in different ways. Michael will be the guy I really try to get into the mind of and play as if I'm really him since I enjoy and relate to his tired, neurotic, out of step with the modern world attitude. Franklin will be the guy I just play as I need to since he seems to have a conscience but his youth and hunger might make him willing to plough through a pedestrian or two to escape the cops if he has to and Trevor.... Trevor will be the much needed chance to let the inner psycho out and just have fun.

I'm not sure how will the three character thing will work on a technical level but I really like the fact that it gives me the chance to enjoy the game on all three levels that I want to.

Playing mainly as a middle aged successful unhappy criminal suffering a midlife crisis in therapy more than the comedic psychopath and the gangbanger trying to get out of the hood is fine by me, The Sopranos is my fave all time show!
I'll likely only be playing as Trevor unless I'm forced to play one of the other characters (possibly for story reasons; other than that it's open world Trevor all day).

obviously its tony , oops sorry , MICHAEL SOPRANO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh come on clearly:
