What the game is a flop? They should abandon it and move to bigger and better things.

I don't! I hated FFXIV (original). I think this game will be a contender for the current MMOs.

every single one of these games are the same.

no new features in all final fantasys

You haven't played (or even looked at) any have you?
Because that might be the dumbest thing I've read in years

Absolutely not true. Each game has their own battle system and leveling system. While the first Final Fantasys did have some linear abilities, they were still different.

Even the way you wield weapons as a class is different from just choosing in a mog house like the original FFXI

Got tired of waiting for it and I wont believe it till I see it.

Been playing Guild Wars 2 as of launch, and do not see leaving for another traditional MMO with some RPG elements. Question, is there a sub fee with FF14?

From my experience inside the beta all i have to say is ... wait for other games that worth your money and your time because the game looks very traditional and it isn't even coming with anything unique or Innovative or even new to the MMO Industry with all honest , those games that i'm currently talking about who worth the wait are Archeage and Blade & Soul for sure !

Archeage? Blade & Soul? Pff... another korean MMOs from mediocre developers/publishers:

- real beta only for korean players;
- western players need to wait months for the release;
- western players need to wait months for patches/updates;
- developers don't care about western players.

What I see in FF XIV: A Realm Reborn?

- beta at same time in Europe, America and Japan;
- worldwide release;
- future patches/updates at same time in Europe, America and Japan;
- FF XIV's director already said the biggest market for the game will be America and Europe so he listens us.

The Koreans are stepping forward in the MMO industry while some people are still sticking to the same traditional thing .

You better give those games a try when they release before saying " Its from *Korean* mediocre developers/publishers " Trust me i have experienced many MMO's before and those Koreans put alot of work on those games , I play both games for a month in the Korean server ( which costs me alot ) , and its totally worth it ~

both games are currently being published by western publishers , but there's no date yet for the release date for both of them .

And Yes about what Square did , this is the only good thing they did for the worldwide market to be honest .. but still , the game isn't worth it with all honest .. sorry my friend that's my opinion :3

I respect your opinion.

I probably will try Archeage but the game will not have a great future in the West.

I refuse to play Blade & Soul: a mmo published by Ncsoft... I don't need to say more.

I'm a big fan of FF XI. I know a lot of people don't play mmorpgs for the story but Square-Enix cares about the story and this is one of the reasons I liked so much FF XI. Naoki Yoshida already said FF XIV will have a story like FF XI or FF's offline.

abcd .. in story wise not only FF Online games did that thing ,You have to open your mind to accept those games .. Both of them has a very deep story with amazing Cutscenes if you didn't know , I don't wanna spoil the games for you if your really want to give them a try and dig deep to the story but i can share the Cutscenes links if you want :3

It looks to me that you are a diehard FF fan .. we both have the same Tendencies my friend if you didn't know ~

does korean mmo suck cuz its korean?

Ff14 is viewed as a failure.
Even wada said ff14 'greatly damaged' the final fantasy name.

This is coming from a long time fan of final fantasy series.
