IGN- Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Review

IGN:It’s difficult to argue that Dragon’s Dogma is a universally great game. It’s great at combat and exploration, but the quests are often boring, the fiction is turgid and its technical problems are unignorable. But it’s a very good game, and it’s so interesting that I’m inclined to forgive most of its problems because it succeeds in such important ways. The Dark Arisen expansion content pushes the boundaries of fairness towards the end and saves its best rewards for the most dedicated, but in terms of design and ambience it’s an encouraging indication of what this talented team might come up with next. At this budget price, Dragon’s Dogma is absolutely worth a try. (Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, PS3, Xbox 360) 7.9/10

Imo this expansion is done right. The dlc rewards those that spent $60-$100 and houdreds of hours with new high level content. It also reintroduces the game to new players with additions. This was one of my favorite games from last year and i was afraid that my high level character, just like new game plus initially would be too strong to even be worth it.

7.9

And IGN hits a new low.

"KEZA MACDONALD"

Oh jeez what a goddamn surprise to see that this pathetic score was given by a pretentious "reviewer" that is notorious for hyping up s**t games while giving lower scores to good ones.

So this is an expansion? Does it include the original game as well?
Heavenly King  +   510d ago
yep, similar to Super Street Fighter IV. If you have not bought the original, if you are interested, you should buy this.

I've heard it's somewhat like a Japanese version Elder Scrolls. Any truth to that?

It's more like an intense 3 way between god of war, shadow of the colossus, and skyrim .

@Big Boss

I loved all of those games so that sounds pretty awesome to me. I think I'll pick up the PS3 version :)
