Latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 patch goes live on Xbox 360, PS3 – full notes available

Is it just me or is cod lacking something now, everything seems to cater for the casual poo gamer i mean the kills feel like they are calculated based on connection not real time if that makes sense.

I've always felt the person with the better connection has had the best chances of winning any confrontations in COD. If you are yellow-barring or even worse, you're screwed.

The connection issues with Black Ops 2 specifically have been improved since launch, but you still need to be incredibly quick when playing against top players. I'm usually matched with people in my skill level, but every now and again I'll be dropped into a game trying to survive against (what seem to be) pro players.

It's tough.

This has always been the case, going back to when I played Quake 2 online on the PC close to 15 years ago.

You put someone with a low ping and someone with a high ping head to head, if they press fire at the exact same time then low pinger will win, every single time.

If it feels like the guy in front of you killed you with one bullet, its a connection issue. I'm talking about looking at the kill cam and seeing I did absolutely nothing, when on my screen I know for sure I got a few shots out. But the kill cam shows me just running towards the guy like he didn't have a gun in his hand and of course an easy kill for him. Infuriating.

It doesn't help that CoD games tend to kill you off ridiculously quick, if you're under fire 9 times out of 10 you won't make it to cover.

Take a game like MAG, something that requires a lot more firepower to take someone down and the fact it was riddled with lag doesn't become a major issue as you have time to duck for cover, heal etc rather than dying before you had time to react to the hit indicators on your HUD.
