Blizzard Employee Auctions 10 Anniversary Shield and Sword

A third-party eBay dealer is currently auctioning a shield exclusively gifted to Blizzard employees who have worked for the company 10 years, and a sword given to those working for 5 years.

It has a deep emotional value to all employees who undergo a special ceremony. The "L" symbol on the shield is based on Warcraft, and stands for "Lordaeron".

The auction starts at a overwhelming $9.999 bid. Think it's too high and won't have a buyer? Think twice. Back in 2008, the Epic Weapons Frostmourne replica tagged "# 0001 produced" was sold for $20,700. (Diablo III, PC, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria)

I can't believe someone would auction this. Whoever gets ahold of them, I bet it would be very treasured and meaningful -- and maybe cause divorce (yikes).
