Injustice: Gods Among Us Review | Blistered Thumbs

BT writes: Mortal Kombat was my 2011 Game of the Year. That may seem outlandish for a timeframe that saw releases such as Portal 2 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but NetherRealm Studios surpassed even those achievements with a product that not only revitalized a rudderless franchise, but raised the bar for the entire fighting game genre. Injustice: Gods Among Us is the second attempt at creating an Ed Boon fighter with characters from the DC Comics universe, but coming off the success of MK9 inspires an entirely different brand of confidence. The question isn’t whether or not Injustice is good–it’s whether it’s unique enough to stand up on its own. (Injustice: Gods Among Us, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360) 8/10
