Top 5 Mario Characters Who Deserve Their Own Year (Besides Luigi)

BT writes:

Due to his strong position as one of the most recognizable faces in all of video gaming, Mario has always received an incredible amount of attention, from Nintendo and gamers alike. However, I’ve always had more fondness for his less-celebrated and, in my opinion, far more interesting brother Luigi. Whereas Mario doesn’t really have too much of a personality beyond being the hero of his tales, Luigi has a cowardly nature that lends itself to great characterization and tons of funny situations. Apparently enough, I’m not the only one who appreciates Luigi in such a way, as Nintendo has taken to calling this the “Year of Luigi,” a year where Luigi will get prominent roles in many upcoming and already released games.
