Weekly Digital Roundup: Solace for Wii U Rayman fans

"Remember when Wii U users got all miffed about the Rayman Legends delay? Ubisoft had promised to make amends, and that promise was finally fulfilled this past Thursday.

The Rayman Legends Challenges App is available as a free download for every Wii U user, which gives them daily and weekly online challenges in which they compete speedrun-style in various levels within the game. I’ll tell you this much: trying to one-up fellow player’s leaderboard records is infectiously addicting.

As, like previously mentioned, you’ve got eight Virtual Console games available for the Wii U Virtual Console’s launch. Let’s hope these things don’t trickle as slowly as they did for the Wii. 3DS users don’t have too many offerings this time around, but Mega Man 4 is definitely worth it just to experience the series’ first use of the charging mega buster.

Playstation Plus subscribers can relish in an epic sale on all things Resident Evil, which includes RE2 for $2.00. You’ve also got a portable Vita version of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, which curiously doesn’t have online multiplayer despite it being promised in a trailer that was pulled by Arc System Works.

Finally, Steam has Fez to look forward to on May 1 and Xbox Live Gold users can enjoy a few impressive sales on titles like From Dust and Quantum Conundrum."
