All change: seven ways the next gen needs to revolutionize gaming

OXM UK: "How the new Xbox could take us up a level." (Dark Souls, Fez, The Walking Dead: Episode 1 "A New Day", Xbox One)

Chapter11  +   629d ago
1. I disagree with. With games getting bigger, it costs more and more money. That's why we've seen so much saturation these days, and shorter/smaller games for the most part.

2. Free to play and episodic games are both failed models. F2P for obvious reasons, episodic because literally every episode of TWD got delayed for weeks.

3. Most people don't care, not to mention this function will get abused. There are going to be so many small clips of uninteresting and boring things in some random kids game, or people yelling at each other its going to be impossible to find the good stuff.

4. Most people still prefer single player, and a new console isn't going to drastically change gameplay.

5. Same can be said for PS4.

6. Graphics aren't going to be that much better, and gameplay is far more important.

7. Most people don't want that. Digital distribution opens the door to DRM, always online, increased prices, fewer price drops and sales, less room on hard drives, etc.
