man thoes facial animation and graphics are soo good... it looks like a ps4 game.

Thatguy-3101670d ago (Edited 1670d ago )

I know right. This game will show how video games have matured throughout the years. I'm happy to see it because I grew up with the medium. Games used to be about fun but now they've matured so much that they're able to use them to tackle deep narrative like movies and novels. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

These are not two random actors. These are two Oscar winning/nominated stars who have done some of the best from big budget pictures to amazing independent films. I am so excited to see the relationship between Defoe and Paige and how they translate their talents into this interactive dramatic experience. This is going to be one for the ages.

Imma get some kool aid, when I get back, this comment better get agrees.

I said the same thing on another n4g article, and a flock of contentious weirdo's just nerd-raged at me, lol. Just because it looks like a PS4 game, doesn't mean we're saying that the PS4 can't do better. It just so happens to look about as good as some of the PS4's launch games. I'm sure the PS4 can do much better (Deep Down says hello) plus the PS4's 8GB of RAM totally kills the PS3, easy. But man, some people need to chill out. Any way, yeah it looks like a PS4 game to me too. I never seen a PS3 game look so amazing!

Day one purchase!

"I never seen a PS3 game look so amazing! "

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves at E3 2009 was out of this planet !

DwopeMunky1670d ago

God of War 3 still holds the graphics crown in my opinion.

"I said the same thing on another n4g article, and a flock of contentious weirdo's just nerd-raged at me"

find that hard to believe knowing that like 85% of the population in N4G are PS3 fanboys....

izumo_lee1670d ago

I remember in an interview with David Cage that Beyond is using an engine designed for PS4 but truncated to adapt to the PS3 architecture.

It really is amazing that Quantic Dream are able to make a game of this magnitude. Just like with Heavy Rain i really hope the game will see the same success.

Ghost_of_Tsushima1670d ago (Edited 1670d ago )

This game is seriously on par with PS4 graphics. With PS4 having 16x the ram QD will blow us the F*ck away! This game make The Last of Us look a little dated. The game looks so amazing from graphics, animation, story, emotion, and realism. The game looks just great.

Raccoon1670d ago (Edited 1670d ago )

What will really look great is when I play this master piece on my 180" projector screen with 7.1 Dolby surround sound... Yuuum

How can it be spoiler free? its 25 minutes worth of game play man

Maybe I should of looked at the video before commenting, im not going to, dont want any spoilers lol

haggishurler1670d ago

David cage said himself that it was the best he could show without spoilers.

ZoyosJD1670d ago

It still had a ****load of underlying spoilers. This in combination with the trailers and I already know more than I wanted.

The trailers are particularly bad...

WildArmed1669d ago

Same, I didn't watch the video because of it.

30mins of gameplay is too muccchh for me to spoil.

I feel bad after watching trailers lately coz they spoil bits and pieces all over the game.

That's next gen right there baby!

Ghost_of_Tsushima1670d ago

Yea all around not just graphics. This is what real talented Developers can achieve.

MasterCornholio1670d ago

Yep since the only next gen console is the Wii U and we all know how underpowered it is in comparison to the PS4.

Motorola RAZR i

underpowered or underdeveloped

Videogames are all about having "fun", that is the main reason why I play them in the first place and I do not want to fill my brain with almost sillish "plots or stories", such games remind me of hollywood crap or soap opears, please ... do some decent and "fun" to play games ...

nirwanda1669d ago

Hollywood isn't all the same thing either, some people like period drama and some people love toy story or arnie.

Maybe you should borrow it to try it out just as a change from what you usally play.

DigitalRaptor1669d ago (Edited 1669d ago )

Video games are a form of entertainment. Saying they're just for fun is selling the medium short and this is your view because mainstream culture has conditioned you into thinking "games should be fun or bust".

1- Fun is a subjective term. Some people find sports fun and some do not. Some find needle craft fun and others do not. Some find horror films fun and some despise them. I find emotive drama in any form to be fun, whilst clearly you do not.

What is not subjective is creativity and quality.

2- Quantic Dream's games in no way risk the industry from giving up "traditional" "fun" games that focus on all thrills action. There is room for David Cage's output in an industry full of repetition and clones.

ThyMagicSword1669d ago

Monster Hunter is for "casual" gamers, since when? I use to play Monster Hunter with my brother, because the game feels like ...well ...a game, nothing is more fun than taking down gigantic beasts down with brothers ...distant "brothers" (other online gamers) and yet you are trying to tell me the mainstream culture influenced me in some way or another? On that point you are clearly wronger than wrong. So ..."fun" is subjective, right ...but where is the "fun" when I play alone or games, which do not feel like games at all, I do not see any fun in it. Creativity and quality is also subjective, I do not see the "quality" in Cages games, that is my "subjective" opinion of course, which shows that "quality" is subjective. To point two ...Quantic Dream should work in the movie indutry, because videogames do not need actors like Ellen Page or other random movie-people, wtf is this trend nowadays? Where are the creative "subjects/characters" ;? Did they leave them in their tiny pockets or where?

PS to nirvana/nirwanda: hollywood is crap.
