It's make it or break it for Nintendo and the Wii U at E3 2013.
Let's hope they have some master plan that no one sees coming.
Didn't Nintendo demand they wanted to see MS and Sony's console and wanted them to innovate? https://www.google.com/url?... https://www.google.com/url?... After all that you back out of the grandest stage. Instead they feel the need to have a smaller presence at E3. I'm sorry but all that talk just to back down is not what people were expecting. EDIT: I dunno about "chickening out." But Nintendo wanted them to "React" to them. Sony reacted and in several weeks MS will to. But its just funny Nintendo wants the other giants to react to what Nintendo's doing, only not to have a presence at the big stage at E3. Nintendo asked for for it and they're getting it.
Agree, they're chickening out by not having a big E3 press conference.
they did react.. smartglass an better remote play funtion for the vita was a reaction... and before you say..."but the psp an ps3 had it before wiiu"...nintendo had .. the super game boy.. and some gba to gamecube action" e3 has falling off we all know that... most companys dont even show up.. an just cause its nintendo and there arent selling 1 million wiiu's a week, it'sa a problem..nintendo will probably have a few nintendo directs.. there still gonna be there showing off games.. the only thing they've said is that.. they arent going to be speaking...
Using google as source is not very well thought throughout.
To be fair, Nintendo did a great job with the last two Nintendo Direct videos. It would be safe to say that those two ND converted a lot of people over to the 3DS. If Nintendo is going to continue with that method, I don't see the harm. E3 is bloated anyway. It's like Christmas: yeah, you're glad to get gifts and eat good food, but it's a bummer because you have to spend time with annoying relatives and travel to places you don't want to go.
Think about this, they are still having a smaller confrence for the gaming media,(whatever that means)so we might still get Miyamoto coming out with a luigi outfit.ever since they announced that they won't have a big E3 everyone has only been talking about Nintendo at E3. and everyone will be paying attention to see what they do.
Wii U Daily seems to be a anti-Nintendo (or at least anti-Wii U) site, more than a Wii U news hub. Very rarely do you see any "good" news. Good grief. You'd think that if it's a news site dedicated to Wii U, they'd try to think more positive thoughts, instead of giving lame-brain trolls more rope to use. E3 2013 is indeed important, but Nintendo must have their reasons for only using it as a "demo-hub" practically. "No key 3rd party titles coming to Wii U this year". Hah, yeah, how about: - Watch_Dogs - Bayonetta 2 - The Wonderful 101 - Fire Emblem - Xeneoblade "X" - Batman Arkham Origins - Rayman Legends - Splinter Cell: Black List - Deus EX: Human Revolution - Resident Evil Revelations HD - . . . Any new announcements.
I would be over the moon if Fire Emblem and Xenoblade X came this year, but I doubt they will. It's more likely for next year.
I know for sure Nintendo said we're getting more info about those games this year, but I concur. Next year seems more accurate. I think seeing Mario and Mario Kart this year is more likely.
People just like to hate when they can on here. Its was not to long ago people were saying the Wii and 360 had no chance against the ps3 and look what happened there. Then they said the 3ds was a flop and look at the turn around that's had. They also said the psv would out sell the 3ds and it did not and has not. Then it was the psv is a flop and now its the Wiiu turn. I have a Wiiu and really like the console. It dose need more games but just like any new console or add-ons it can take 12 to 18 months for the software to follow. The ps4 and next Xbox will have this issue to. Once the other 2 consoles are out and who ever is selling the lest each week we will see posts on here about that company should leave the business ect but I think all 3 will sell well in this new gen.
Would you prefer if they were just blind fanboys like everyone else?
Them not going to E3 is kind of big mistake at least in my opinion. If i was them i would show up and show games, because that's what we gamers want to see. @below Here is how e3 works 1.Show games = Sells Consoles+games = good for investors 2.NOT show games = not sell as many games or consoles = not so good for investors.
They WILL be at E3. They just won't be coming with a full-bloom press conference like before. Their reveals for the rest of the year will come in the form of smaller shows and Nintendo Directs.
yes but E3 isn't just for gamers anymore, it's also for the investors and media. juggling these priorities isn't very easy since you have all three wanting something different from the event. gamers: games announcements media: news and rumour fuel investors: the numbers targeting only one of them isn't going to help them, since they need to please all three to succeed. To my knowledge, nintendo is trying to satisfy all three by, having a closed door investor conference, giving the media (reporters and such) early access to game demos and whatever news they want to share. They're even trying to give gamers what they want by having the nintendo direct like events to reveal the games we want to know about. I really don't see how this was a bad decision.
The primary reason E3 exist is for investors and media not because of gamers. Who Attends In 2013, leading computer and video game companies, business partners, media and industry analysts from over 100 countries will converge on the Los Angeles Convention Center. E3 2013 will welcome software developers, buyers and retailers, programmers, distributors, entertainment industry representatives, financiers and venture capitalists, importers and exporters, manufacturers, resellers, researchers, educators, financial and industry analysts and worldwide electronic and print media.
@Transporter "Them not going to E3 is kind of big mistake at least in my opinion. If i was them i would show up and show games, because that's what we gamers want to see." You see that's what people say now. But after MS and Sony show off its new games and consoles, just about anything Nintendo will do at the big stage wouldn't matter. Journalist and gamers will complain none the less. "that's all they have?" "Those games won't be a system seller." "Nintendo should of brought it harder" "Another multiplat game that I can buy for Xbox and PlayStation." "Wheres my new entertainment features in the console." Those will probably be just some of the complaints. Realistically, the gaming population will largely be interested in the next gen stuff than what Nintendo could offer. That's probably the reason why Nintendo is doing a smaller presence at E3. To cater to the fans that are interested in what Nintendo has coming for them. For the ones who have the console, and, for the ones who aren't caught up into Sony and MS next gen hype. Nintendo is operating on its own time at E3 this year and will impress its fans. Not to impress what the investors and none gaming press that ultimately will be at E3.
It's a standard E3 for Nintendo - no new hardware to reveal or anything super exciting like that, but big guns in the form of Mario, Smash Bros. and maybe Zelda U. But for me the most exciting unknown would be an announcement from Retro.
I think those games you just mentioned deserve an E3 conference thats why I think Nintendo chose the wrong time to do this. Its always nice to hear the fans reactions once a new Zelda is announced something that can't be done with Nintendo Directs. ;)
You guys ever think that the reason Ninny goaded Sony & MS about their tablet controller....was to further convince gamers that it was something gamers wanted? #Sheeples lol
What is going on with Nintendo? Now they seem uninterested in selling anything
nintendo havent been at e3 for years now.
True, same could go for Microsoft. Shuddering at the thought of Usher.
Maybe Nintendo should release an updated model of the Wii U, you know like they do with their handheld The Super Wii U.
Since Nintendo isn't going to have a conference. Then they have to show up big time with the software. Show us that the Wii U is a qualitative game's console.
