We’re on trademark watch this weekend and Sony Computer Entertainment, Namco Bandai and Square Enix have filed a few interesting titles in their home country.
More new IPs for Sony I guess, this is great news, all console manufacturers should be striving to bring us a good mix of both new games and pre/sequels.
Sony be building. New full price ips released almost every year this gen on top of the psn ones. Now there's preparing for next gen. Can't complain about that unless you're not a gamer.
Only complaints I have about that are about my wallet. Slow down there Sony! ....or not. Lol.
*Now they're preparing.... Next gens battle royale's rosters going to get larger still.
just only last month, sony trademarked destiny of spirits, and this month in the same week we receive news that sony trademarked the order:1866 and this freedom wars and YU-NAMA wow, when it comes to pushing new ips, sony is the one ^_^
hopefully sony announce new psvita games at E3.
that destiny of spirits is might be a ps vita title since it is trademarked by sony as "computer game software for handheld gaming devices" ^_^
OMG I had not heard of any of those, they sound awesome!!! :0 Nice find!!
DR.F is DR.FOO doctor who's Japanese half brother. Square Enix:please be exited for E3. Seems like Allan Becker the new studio boss at SCEJ(former product director at Santa Monica studio's) is turning things around they have been firing at all cylinders for the last 2 years or so before that it looked pretty bad since the start of this gen. Now just give me Patapon 4 in the same style as 2 and Gravity rush 2 and i will be FEVER!
If only it was Mr. F......Arrested Development anyone?
Dr. F sounds like he'll be dropping some F bombs. Seriously though, new IPs are always welcome.
"Freedom Wars"? "Dr. F"? Is it a competition to have the most generic names ever? Seriously, Freedom Wars?!
To be fair arent most names generic? How the games play is that really matters.
There was a game called Freedom Fighters from IO Software, the developers of Hitman games. It was quite good, the point being, title is just a title- nothing more.
Oh damn I hope it's a sequel to Freedom Fighters. Probably not though. The first thing I thought of when I saw Freedom Wars was that old space combat game Colony Wars.
I really want Sony to build a first party turn-based strategy series similar to Advanced wars and Fire emblem. Freedom Wars remind me of these, but it could be anything.
My wallet is going crazy...
