Seems Like Thief Really Is In Serious Trouble

We'd been hearing rumors that the new Thief was in trouble, which made for a worrisome combination with the findings of our columnist/sleuth Superannuation, who last June dug up a distressing amount of turnover at the game's developer Eidos Montreal. A new report at Polygon backs up those earlier concerns, describing a laborious creative process, conflicting visions, high-level staff turnover and a generally troubled development for the high-profile sequel. (PS4, Thief, Xbox One)

if these are true then the game might actually really be in trouble, it could crash or freeze or even lag. I probably will have to wait for the reviews first this time...

Those are possibilities even without the drama

So, basically, lose all your expectations for this game to be good.

Great. I loved Deus Ex Human Revolution, and was REALLY looking forward to their next game. Now it's seeming like in the end, they're probably just going to throw a bunch of unorganized/unpolished ideas together just to get it released like many other devs have done.

Ugh. What the hell is going on over there?
