Is it just me or do the BlazBlue title names sound more and more 90s each game?

Calamity Trigger
Continuum Shift
ChronoPhantasma

If were lucky the next one will feature guest appearances by Jean Claude Van Damm...

Looks like they added Sasuke from Naruto lol

I think they usually take alot of character art inspiration from alot of other japanese games and manga's.
FamilyGuy  +   854d ago
Yeah, but it's a pretty unique hair style, I've seen lots of anime and never seen that one anywhere but Naruto.

Well at the very least Japan can still churn out great fighting games. Always enjoyed this series art style, now if only they could make some games as enveloping as their manga minus the teen angst.

A bit oot. There's a lot of manga that don't have 'the teen angst' in it. I reccomend Vagabond, 20th Century Boy, Billy Bat, Black Lagoon, Monster, or Team Medical Dragon if you don't like to see teenagers pile up their stress.

Ot. Looks cool. Can't wait to play with this new characters.

I wish they would stop making sequels to BlazBlue so I could stop buying them!
NiteX  +   854d ago
Wow another one? There's so many versions of this game it makes Street Fighter 4 look tame. They are seriously keeping up with Capcom.

Then again at least 2 of those sequels are proper ones , for a game that is quite story driven . ANd adding a lot of new content and characters .

The biggest complain would be a few silly dlc schemes , as with almost all current fighting games

Lol dude, this IS BlazBlue, not Guilty Gear. So far there's only seven games in BlazBlue series. Three games on main series (two upgrades for Continuum Shift) and two games for spin-off.

Main series
- BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger (2008)
The 1st game of the series. There's no upgrade for this one.
- BlazBlue: Continuum Shift (2009)
The official sequel for Calamity Trigger. And so far there's only two upgrade which are Continuum Shift II (2010) and Extend (2011).
- BlazBlue: ChronoPhantasma (2013)
The official sequel for Continuum Shift.

Spin-off
- BlayzBloo: Super Melee Brawlers Battle Royale & ClonePhantasma (2012). It's BlazBlue ala Pocket Fighter for 3DS.

One of the reason why a lot of people love BlazBlue because ArcSystem not whoring it out like Guilty Gear / Street Fighter.

They release a game a year and character DLC every few months. That seems pretty "whored out" to me. :/

I loved Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift but couldn't bring myself to buy Extend, too much too often. ChronoPhantasm might get my money or I might wait for it's inevitable complete/extended edition.

Oh c'mon~ are we ever gonna see any pc sequels for this or I just need to play Calamity trigger forever.
FamilyGuy  +   854d ago
Did it sell well on pc? Maybe it wasn't enough to be worth it to them. :/
RBlue_Desire  +   854d ago
yeah i guess, it didn't.......

Hoping for PS+ free release then xD
