IGN:Badly going where too many Trek games have gone before.
Didn't see this coming...
IGN didnt get paid enough. Although, its quite a shame, I was looking forward to this game.
The game isn't made for Trek fans but rather for fans of the new movie series. It plays like you are in a movie. Many of the normal choices we expect are limited but then again it is far less so than any COD game. Bottom line? I have already said it. It plays like a movie and judged on those merits it is medicore and mildly enjoyable. Want real Star Trek depth? Well there is still the best game in that universe to date: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
I keep saying this but they need to combine X or Freelancer with Bridge Commander and the combine Mass Effect with Hidden Evil and then meld them together.
I was never a Star Trek fan, but I thought the game looked pretty decent. Guess I'll pass on it or wait to catch it for maybe $10. Reminds me of Gears of War a bit.
considering everyone and their moms have been making cover based third person based games within the last few years, it's REALLY unfortunate that they couldn't do this game justice.
adding "The Videogame" is usually a kiss of death
For that reason i'm fairly worried about Rambo.
I agree. can we combine our internet powers and petition for a name change so we can prevent this tragedy. I really want an awesome Rambo game!!!!
I am currently renting it from REDBOX . Not a great game but not terrible either. I would give it a 6 out of 10 so far. So it's around average.
Why keep making movie games they always get bad reviews
