Why More Games Need To Be Like Bioshock Infinite

"BioShock Infinite received critical acclaim when it released on March 26th and was one of the most anticipated games of 2013." | Explosion (BioShock: Infinite, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

I wish more games tried with their story. Bioshock had it all/ Gameplay, Story, characters, mood, Visuals.

While I deem these from important to less important
Gameplay > Story > Characters > Mood(art and music) > visuals(quality of graphics)

For example, I didn't give a crap about Dark souls story...but...my fav game this gen(Only matched by Demons souls)

As much as I enjoyed Bioshock Infinite, I'm not understanding this need to sell it as the revolution of originality the game industry never had. Its a good game with a great story and an overall solid design, but many other games have done well with AI, NPCs and story and I'd like to see other games getting the fair credit they deserve as well.

Okay this "All hail Bioshock Infinite" is getting a little out of hand. The game wasn't that great. It's strength comes from relying on your appreciation for the first BioShock. I didn't like the on screen notification of the shield recharging (shattered yellow glass? Isn't that the same as when it depleted? I'm confused), the A.I. didn't seem "smart" like the citizens of rapture were, the story dragged in various parts, I really didn't care for Booker nor did I care about Columbia and the game just felt like a polished shell of what the original Bioshock was.

Funny, more games like Bioshock Infinite, but if we placed it on that throne and watched games follow, we would complain about it like we do COD now. BI is good but its not that great once you starred eyes return to focus.

I got the same feeling with Dishonoured. It was a good game, but you would have thought it was a revolutionary once in a lifetime acheivement the way some reviewers spoke about it. 8/10 for me.

The gameplay was the worst part of the game i kept playing for the atmosphere and story. Especially at the end i was like oh great more freaking giant Abe Lincoln robots yay...

You mean be overly pretentious in every aspect and then go CoD-style gunplay to appeal to Ken's fratboys?
