XMNR: A poster purporting to show a release date for Battlefield 4 along with features of the game was confirmed as a fake by EB Games Australia on Thursday.
How I knew this was fake, before this article: -Dice representatives said themselves that, "...commander mode was a hit-and-miss feature and won't be included in our next game." -the poster uses the old x-box logo -an official poster wouldn't make the mistake of leaving out PC as one of the available platforms. the last few ones are just my own personal reactions to the poster -the font style does not match the font used in past, and the black highlighted region behind the text isn't DICE's "style". -the poster fails to present new information while I believe a DICE poster would have done so, but in a vague fashion. -the wording of the info just seemed...off? DICE are not known for including anchronyms in their ads and posters "Drone Strike: TBA".
Yeah, this was why I didn't report on the poster to begin with. I saw it right after BF4Central.com posted it and it screamed "fake" to me.
what tipped me off: IT looks like complete shit and like it was made in 5 minutes.
EB Games is Gamestop just letting you yanks know. Now I know this comment is a bit useless considering the poster is a fake but I still think it applies to the genre: what's the deal with stats? Why do I want to track every waking second of my BF career? It's nice to see how many kills I've got overall, how many times I've mashed someone in a tank but really, it's hardly a dealbreaker.
We use to have EB Games over here as well. It's nice to know detailed stats but yeah not really a deal breaker for me either but I can see not having it turning off a lot of people.
