When the music soars, the characters align and the combat gels, Star Trek becomes a rare movie game that rises above its peers and delivers something genuinely fun. It's only ever a partial success though, too bogged down by timid design and technical rough edges to really be the game that Trek deserves.

I'm not hugely surprised. Though I'm not a fan of this new rehashed Star Trek, the series has always had trouble getting good games built and released. Must be a trekkie curse or something. Star Wars has had much better luck.

An excellent game but then you have the likes of Legacy, Star Trek Online, Starfleet Command 3 was a buggy mess. There have been a few decent games but the easiest comparison is Star Wars, and they've had 70-80% hits against 20-30% hits for Star Trek.

Away team was great, Voyager Elite Force was a breath of fresh air and the original Starfleet command did what no other game has done with RTS/Sim space games.

STO was a big chance and it flopped big time for me, too dumbed down for the masses and not trekkie enough for the fans.

Eurogamer :
Star trek 6
Dead Island riptide 6

Maybe Dead island its not a "8" game but Star Trek is a pretty terrible game ... not a chance both games receive the same score.
