Modern games are “obscenely accessible”: 2K on why The Bureau will be tough as nails

Today, 2K officially revealed what everyone has known for some time: that the XCOM FPS announced back in 2010 was now a squad-based third person shooter. But what’s it like to play? Finally some games for those of us who don't like all this easy hand-holding nonsense going on in games today. I'm bored to tears of all these easy games. I'm waiting for tough games like Dark Souls 2, Metal Gear Online 3, and now this game (Bureau).

I totally agree, I have gamed since the mid 80's. Back then you couldn't even save your game, you could play for hours, die, and have to start again!

These days it press x to win!

I know man. I was born in 89, but my sister has kept all her NES and Master System games, so when our mom bought the latest system, my sis would hog it and pass down her older systems for me to play instead. So I was always playing old games. I had to beat Mario bros, ninja gaiden, ninja turtles, etc without saving. Even the ps1 games are tougher than todays weak hand holding games.

Having to start over isn't hard, it's just annoying.

Funny thing 2K made some of those games themselves. 1 of those was just released, Bioshock:Infinite a really great game but it was so easy and i thought it was easier then the original.

Well, I like the direction they took. When it was an FPS and called XCOM, it was just insulting.

They have my attention now.
