Ironically, Miiverse is on PS Vita before 3DS

With Nintendo releasing their web-based version of Miiverse yesterday, gamers with a web browser can access the Wii U social network from devices like the PS Vita but not the 3DS. When trying to access it from the 3DS users get an error while Sony's handheld handles the social service just fine. (3DS, Miiverse, Nintendo, PS Vita, Sony, Wii U)

i tried accessing miiverse from the wiiu web browser and an error message popped up and told me to push home icon and tap miiverse tab. lol. i guess nintendo made it allowable for access from every browser but their own.

Total FAIL for Nintendo and huge WIN for Sony. Sony needs to use this in a Vita commercial. ROFL

Well, it is really a win for Nintendo. Now Sony Vita customers can fall in love with Miiverse and want WiiU/3DS. Has anyone tried accessing from PS3/360?

Also, Nintendo blocked website access on 3DS because they don't want the users getting use to using it before the app comes. The reason for blocking WiiU browser is pretty straight forward.

to be honest i have both and im 100% sure the 3ds cant even show a page with that amount of data (HTML5, JAVA and flash. Thats my big let down for the 3ds, as a browser the Vita is much much better (and the latest update would also let you see streaming).

I don't understand how exposure for miiverse on non nintendo platforms is a bad thing
t3gamenews  +   739d ago
if they can block it on 3ds browser, & wii u browser, then they can block it on vita & other console browsers. if they wanted.

Yup, just tried it out and it indeed does work on vita. Strange how the 3DS cant do the same.

not sure if it's a strategy to lure sony fanboys.?

@radecGaming

In order to access Miiverse you have to be an owner of a Wii U console. Sony fanboys would never buy a Wii U and therefore will never gain access to Miiverse.

" Now Sony Vita customers can fall in love with Miiverse and want WiiU/3DS"

Wrong again. In order to access Miiverse you have to be an owner of a Wii U console. If there´s one thing that Sony fanboys will never do is buy a Wii U or a 3DS and therefore will never gain access to the Miiverse.

I wonder if I can draw on my Vita to my Miiverse account?
