Survival Horror Surviving the Future

With the recent announcement of The Evil Within, Kris looks at the survival horror genre and how it can evolve by building off of the design decisions from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Is it weird that I'm not super impressed or excited by The Evil Within? Survival horror has always been one of my favorite game genres, so my bar is set pretty high...

Yes, yes it is weird. If Shinji Mikami can't bring horror back to larger budget games, then it's not looking good.

With that said, i'm being cautious as well. We've only had screenshots and a teaser, so i'm waiting for more.
