Nintendo, Your Show Will Be Missed At E3

It was just announced that Nintendo would be doing a much smaller scale E3 this year. This is really disappointing. E3 is like the Super Bowl for gamers. It is the grand stage. Nintendo doing a quieter show is like a team dropping out of the big game. They are assuring us they will have some sort of presence, but that is like your hometown friend moving a hundred miles away and promising to "keep in touch". It's a nice gesture, but in your mind you know that it won't be the same. (Nintendo, Wii U)

the author of this article is not gonna watch the show? sucks

Of course I'll watch it. I'm still pumped for E3. I love the show. I always set time to watch the big three when they come out for their large conference. It will be weird knowing this year it will only be two.

"Present-Play-tion Style" ;)
I hope that this means that the media-
-Like Spike TV and G4 (does it even still do gaming?)- adapt with Nintendo's new "Presentation" >"Present-Play-tion Style" ;).

It would be nice to see the journalist walking around playing new games and giving an honest reaction, rather than their canned "Less Polygons=Nintendo Doom."

After most E3's the only good news about Nintendo appears after the dust settles and the Hands-On reports are written.

Ex. NintendoLand and ZombiU virtually every hands-on said these games were fun but most eyes-on had so much criticism.

But if they show -off a NEW Zelda, I think that it is mandatory them Mr. Miyamoto has to come out dressed like Link- I will definitely miss seeing there true unabashed Geeky-Passion.

You know they are gonna be there, they just won't have a presentation.

Nintendo knows they screwed up badly, gimmics wont sell their systems anymore. Wii fooled alot of people, motion controll but shyty graphics and terrible games.

nintendo should just go software only company, put zelda on ps4/next xbox would look 100times better than wii-u.

Mario galaxy being the highest rated game of this gen says the games didn't suck.

One game? Get the hell outta here... I'm not buying a console for one game... Ps3 had uncharted, infamous, gt5 . Xbox360 had gears, halo, forza... And the wii Mario for the 10000th time. Oh and yeah Mario games are fun, but they are so over rated its not even funny.. But I understand, you bough your console of choice and clearly you like when companies recycle their games. I'm not hating on any console though.
yugovega  +   511d ago
and halo isn't recycled? uncharted had 3 games in 5 years. wait actually 6 if you include game of the year editions and the vita game. gt? really. every system puts out the same games. cod anyone? halo 3, wars, odst, 4. or gears yeah there was 4 of those. and only 2 3d Mario games and both were rated higher then gears or halo or cod. uncharted 2was the only game close. infamous was good but I can name plenty more then one on wii that have better overall reviews. real games play fun games even if their 12 year old friends say they arnt cool.

So you want the "shitty" Ninty games on PS4/NextBox because the systems will make those games great? They can't be good on Nintendo conseoles, but would be excellent on other consoles, eh?

What a dumbass.

The fact that they have opted out when they really needed to take the big stage and say "gamers the WiiU is still relevant" has me really worried. They needed to show that they can offer just as much as Sony and Microsoft with the WiiU.
In my opinion they have made a very bad move.
They need to show us why we should buy a WiiU, not preach to people who are already hardcore Ninty fans.
Anyway I hope it still goes well for them, I will miss seeing their big stage presence, it's going to be weird just having the big two to look forward too instead of three.

I was ready to be blown away watching Nintedos conference. (Miles and miles away from the actual location via internet stream, but still...!)

Nintendo not having an actual conference this year, takes quite a chuck out of the fun I could have had with E3 this year.

I wanted to see the next Zelda, 3D Mario, Bayonetta 2 and some BIG reveals on stage, being awed and surprised, the very same moment everyone else is.

Of course, I will get a Wii U one day eventually and a conference - held or not - wont change that, but it surely is a missed opportunity for Nintendo to shine and gain momentum for the Wii U.

All I need is Sony to be there to be worth watching. Nintendo will be missed. Microsoft I'm not going to watch another Usher concert.

Sadly Nintendo will eventually go the way SEGA did and stop making consoles. I miss the old SEGA and Nintendo rivalry.
