Call Of Duty: Ghosts Is Great For The Gaming Industry

Disclaimer: THIS IS SATIRE.

Quote: "By now you probably know that the next Call of Duty, technically unannounced at present but nonetheless an actual thing, is coming to the world later this year, and it’s called Ghosts. Inspired by Azhar’s latest video about why The Evil Within is great for the gaming industry as well as my love for all things ethereal, I’ve decided to do my own article about why Call of Duty: Ghosts is great for the gaming industry.

Unfortunately, I lack the talent, charisma and bowlishly-shaped hair to record a video like he did. Also lacking are time, a webcam and proper editing software, but we’ll call those pedantry and move on, shall we? Hence, this very serious article about why I feel Call of Duty: Ghosts is a welcome addition not only to gaming but the world as a whole, especially after those atrocious Paranormal Activity movies made a running joke out of all things ghostly. " (Call of Duty: Ghosts, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Before everyone makes comments about title:

"Disclaimer: This is a satire piece. It’s not real, but instead imagine we lived in a world where it was."

If you have to explicitly point out that something is satire then it has failed as a piece of satire.

My sentiments exactly. But then again, look at how many times the Onion has had people believing in some of their satirical pieces as if it was fact. Some people you just have to spell it out for.

Believe it or not, Call of Duty IS great for the industry. Can you imagine how horrible video game sales would be if Call of Duty skipped a year or two?

I cant understand how this game sells in the numbers it does. First one i bought was modern warfare 2 was fun online and really enjoyed it but i lost my internet and from then on it gathered dust on a shelf. Then when i got internet again i got blackops 2 because my friends had it. It was the same game basically plus new maps and kill streaks.

i'll not be getting new cod for few more years, next gen they'll have to improve simply because of new hardware. I could almost copy and paste this comment for FIFA the same way they do with their games. l know its not really relevant to this article but i had to say it.

funny how Activision gets away with putting out basically the same game every year maybe with a few new bells and whistles... No dedicated servers, no new enginer and the same STUPID lag compensation is a slap in the face to game consumers...
