Valve's Steam Now Support Games With Subscriptions - Darkfall: Unholy Wars As A Launch Title

indeed. A nice move from Valve, though I'm a bit sceptic about this whole thing. Still, more games of this kind will get exposed (which is a good thing overall)

Depends how Valve play it. Steam does support games with third party subscriptions, but if Valve force companies to go through Steam - Valve could lose out.

My guess is that it will works like Steamworks. Its optional but helps immensely when your core audience uses Steam primarily.
