Nintendo. Love, Hate, Love

Plus XP Contributor CJ writes "There are those folks who fight for their console of choice as if such a machine is family member, 360 vs PS3 becomes some kind of wobbly gaming Montague’s Vs Capulets, with Bill Shakey’s sparkling prose replaced with the likes of ‘ZOMFG [thing] am teh sux’.

I’m not arsed about any of that, and frankly couldn’t give a monkeys as to which box under the telly is kicking out the prettifuls, it’s all about the games. All very noble, right?" (3DS, Nintendo, Nintendo DS, Wii, Wii U)

I love Nintendo. My first ever console was the NES and I got it for my 11th (or maybe my 10th)Birthday. The greatest day of my life but goddamn they have screwed up so much in my eyes over the last number of systems. Loved NES, SNES, hated N64, Loved Gamecube, had some fun with the Wii and have enjoyed the WiiU to a lesser degree if for no reason other than I can play a game when I'm on the can.

They hang their hats too much on gimmicks and their own software. They need to get back to basics, and make a console that 3rd party enjoys developing for. You live and die by 3rd party titles in this day and age and they just aren't making themselves appealing to those devs.

Hated N64? Why? I don't care that you do, but still, why.

games looks too plain jane, the games were unnecessarily over priced due to being on cartridges, the system itself was over priced, the controller was horrendous, selection of games was, for the first time in Nintendo history garbage.

You think the N64's game library is garbage? Now, I don't care, I don't care at all, I've just never heard someone say that before. I always hear people say the exact opposite.

"Reggie & The Wiggle Stick Krew"

Sounds like the name of a ska band from Long Beach.
